If you have just brought new puppies into your home then you are in for a rough ride for a few months!
If you have never had a puppy before then you will soon realize that they go beyond cute when they are running riot all over the house.
This is one of the major reasons why you will have to begin training them virtually straight away and crate training puppys is a great place to start!
There are many reasons why crate training puppys is the only way that works... Here are five reasons I came up with.
1. Crate training puppys is believed to be one of the best ways to bring your puppies under your control and assert yourself as the pack leader. (This was a big mistake I made in the beginning.)
2. A crate can provide a safe haven for your puppys so when they feel scared or anxious then it will be their safe refuge.
3. A crate is also the perfect solution to any sleeping issues. Your puppys can comfortably sleep in there until they can be trusted around the house alone at night.
4. Many owners have found that good crate training can prevent your puppys getting into mischief. This includes chewing belongings and causing general mayhem!
5. Your puppys may have to be taken to the vets, travel in a car or even travel on an airplane. This can be an unsettling experience but a crate can help to settle him or her down and provide a less stressful experience than would otherwise be possible.

Crate Training Puppys: And The 5 "Must Do" Rules
Crate Training Puppys And The 5 Must Do RulesPuppys are like children in that they need structure in their lives in order to be happy and healthy.
They need rules to follow because without rules their entire lives would be full of disruption and mayhem.
This also applies to a new dog of any age that you may have adopted through a rescue shelter or from another family. All dogs need some form of structure and routine, which is why crate training might be a possibility that you would want to look into.
However, crate training puppys need rules that you would need to learn before even attempting to train your puppy. They must be clear to you from the start or else the training may not work. There are actually five Must Do rules of crate training puppys for you to learn, which could really help you to make training a better experience for you and your dog as well as enhance the effect that it has on your household.
The five Must Do rules are as follows:
==> The crate should never be used as a place to send your dog as a punishment because he or she will then associate it with that rather than comfort and safety.
==> Crate training puppys should be gradual and not intensive because the latter can unsettle your dog. A gradual introduction will make more of an impression. You should also give rewards when your dog has been good so as to associate the crate with a positive experience.
==> Never put your dog in the crate unless he or she has a had a chance to go out and do its business. Urinating in it will reinforce a negative experience.
==> Similarly, as soon as you let your dog out of the crate, he or she should be let out. This can help with toilet training.
==> Under no circumstances should you put your dog in the crate it he or she is anxious, stressed or scared. It ios a different matter if he or she goes in there his or herself, but otherwise avoid it.
