Crayon Costumes - A Fun Idea For Halloween

A Real Fun Costume Idea Is The Childrens Crayon Costume

In the last 20 years, the trends and styles of Halloween costumes have expanded beyond the traditional costumes designed to horrify such as ghosts, witches, goblins and demons to the quirky and the humorous. Every year come Halloween, the flashy costumes we see parading the streets or at parties appear to be getting more and more elaborate. People are dressing up like bars of soap, beer bottles, and yep, even crayons.

Before the onset of specialty costume shops, which provide more elaborate, detail-oriented and expensive costumes, the original Halloween costumes were typically sold in department stores or drug stores, and were very inexpensive and inferior in design. As popularity in the holiday grew and grew, so did the design and manufacture of various Halloween costumes. And while you can still find the inexpensive two-piece costumes (one-piece costume suit and plastic mask), the market for the more elaborate costumes has been growing.

Once you have chosen your costume, you may want to consider a variety of accessories to complement your costume, including black shoes and pants and several varieties of makeup and glitter. Purchasing crayon boxes as costume props adds a nice finishing touch.

Whatever your choice in crayon costume, may it bring you plenty of fun and memories!

Costume colors are based on the most popular crayon colors

the blue crayon costumeOne great costume you may want to consider is the crayon costume. Costume colors are based on the most popular crayon colors: red, blue, yellow, pink and green, and sizes range from infant and toddler to teen and adult. For infants (age range 3-9 months), bunting suits - all available in the colors mentioned above and with matching hats - are a popular item.

A variety of the outfit is also available for late-teens and young women. Featuring tank-top style skirts with matching tip hats, the most popular colors are red and pink. They feature Crayola's iconic crayon design and logo going down the center of the costume. For children ages 5-12, the costume features a tunic with matching hat. Again, all costumes are available in the colors mentioned above.

All kinds of colors

Instead of dressing up as an individual crayon, you can now go as the complete crayon set, packaged nicely in a colorful box and available in sizes children and adults. The outfit also features a tunic box to be worn over the head.

The 70's disco era costume had a lot of bright colors. Obviously not as many as the crayon costume but plenty none the less ha ha. For those in a more adult kind of mood try wearing the French maid costume. And no you do not have to be a size 2 to wear them. Plus size costumes can be very alluring! But for the more traditional type of holiday costumes try sporting a Santa Claus costume and or the Easter bunny costume suit!

The only question here is, "What color are you going to be?", I think I'd probably go with orange for Halloween.

Crayon costumes are fun - we made our own box of crayon costumes years ago, using cardboard and poster paints.
