My Favorite Toy - Crayons and Coloring Books

I love to color! Crayons and coloring books are a fun way to pass a little time or several hours. The best thing about coloring in a coloring book is you don't have to know how to draw. You can make your own piece of art using the template provided and choose any color crayon you want!

If you like crayons and coloring books, then you will like this page all about crayons and coloring. I have even added a coloring book gallery!

Whether you color inside or outside the lines, coloring is a great pastime for kids young and old.

My Coloring Story

rocketmom1-smallGrowing up as a young girl, I always enjoyed coloring. My crayon and coloring book creations continued into my teen years and yes, I still enjoy coloring today!

My grandmother was a big influence in my coloring endeavors. She liked to color too. We would spend hours coloring together. She always reminded me to stay between the lines, even though the rebel in me didn't always listen. She also showed me how to outline the black coloring book image with the color I was using to color it in with. Oh, and of course, crayon strokes should always go in the same direction.

Boy, Grandma had a lot of rules! All I wanted to do was color in my coloring book. She meant well and always wanted me to do my best and I thank her because today I am a coloring book expert! Grandma would be proud!

There is nothing like a brand-new box of 64 crayons (or 128 nowadays, right??). Sigh! Lovely lens, 5*
