Gogos Crazy Bones Series 2 - Evolution

Gogos Crazy Bones EvolutionLate in 2008 came the second series of Gogos. OK, so they'd been popular once, but surely not twice? The little yellow packs wouldn't be as popular as the red ones? Wrong!

Series 2 of Gogos Crazy Bones, Evolution, came with another 80 characters - all 'evolved' versions of the series 1 figures. Again each was available in 5 different colours, giving another 400 Crazy Bones to add to the collection. Like in series 1, there were storage tubs and pouches to get your hands on too. Christmas 2008 also gave rise to the first collection of Gold Crazy Bones in a gift tin.

Like series 1, Gogos Evolution are no longer generally available in the United Kingdom.

Gogos Crazy Bones Series 1 - Original

Gogos Crazy Bones OriginalWhen the small, shiny red packets slipped out onto the market in early 2008, playgrounds stopped. Gogos Crazy Bones were quite simply, the biggest playground craze there had ever been. TV Cameras went to film queues forming outside toy shops awaiting deliveries, and just about every child in the land could name all 80 Crazy Bones.

Each of the 80 Gogos Crazy Bones characters was available in 5 different colours, plus if you were very, very lucky there were multi-coloured special versions of numbers 8, 11, 23, 38 and 45. A whopping 405 characters to collect. There were also storage tubs and pouches to get your hands on from this series.

Original Crazy Bones are no longer generally available in the United Kingdom. We do though manage to get a few boxes into the store from time to time, and when we do, you'll find the link here for worldwide shipping. If you want to check the names of the original Crazy Bones characters, you can do so below by glancing at our favourite Crazy Bone vote (make sure you vote while you're there!) further down the lens. Also, we know that most visitors to this lens now come from the United Stated where Gogos have recently been launched. Some History of Gogos Crazy Bones - the Old Series

Gogos Crazy Bones MutantsCrazy Bones (if you didn't know) get their name from the Greco-Roman game of Bones, played with small animal bones. These games have survived in Europe in one form or another for the last 2000 years and the games played with Gogos Crazy Bones are similiar to the ones enjoyed by children since the dawn of time. Jumping forward a bit though...

Those of you who've been into your toy crazes for a while will, of course, know that the launch of Gogos Crazy Bones in 2008 wasn't the first time they'd been around. Crazy Bones had, of course, been a huge craze a few years previously. Here's a (probably incomplete) list of the series' of Crazy Bones that were out back in the day. If you can add to it, please let us know in the comments section below.

My niece is obsessed with collecting and swapping crazy bones, given the choice between crazy bones or sweets the bones always win and believe me she loves sweets.
Very well presented lens found all I needed to know about them. I would have asked my neice but I had not got a couple of days spare to listen the life history of them.
