I completely enjoyed myself on this crazy lens! Here in the Philippines we are taught English at an early age (it's our 2nd language) though it doesn't exempt us from misusing it too - sometimes intentionally, in the name of humor. You'll find establishments with names like "Doris Day and Night" (a 24-hour eating place), "Petal Attraction" (a flower shop), "Sylvester Salon" (a beauty salon), and "M-m-m-my Shawarma" (a Persian eatery).

These engrish mistakes are always good for a laugh. But as your example shows, we are also doing such mistakes. Although it might be embarrassing sometimes, it is always good if we can laugh about them.

That was a fun laugh created in good humor. You were such a good sport to include your own mistakes. Malapropisms are funny in any language.

Just driving around China and reading the English is entertainment in itself. These are just too funny. Lenrolled to my :Funny signs from around the world."

I like the one about how you're supposed to fall down carefully. When I was in China, I crossed a bridge once with an official sign about how you're not supposed to cross it if you're pregnant, depressed, etc. I never really understood why. :)

I once saw this sign on a private language school in Japan: "Engrish School."

You left "We use Smeel here!" on the BM Club sign! Brilliant! I love it!

Very funny. 5*. Since I can understand korean, one day I saw a Korean menu that said "ox tail soup".. in the actual korean words it was "dog soup". .. some food for thought.

I love Engrish and Japlish. Toy packages and hotel guides are some of the best places to find hilarious translations.

Thanks for a few good laughs!

Ah, hilarious indeed -- I previously worked with a FujiFilm company and encountered 'fractured English' a lot. Fun lens!

This is an entertaining lens, I worked in a warehouse years ago and we saw quite a few funny phrases on boxes and packing slips.

Absolutely hilarious. Reminds me of that old joke about the Japanese buying Kodak: Henceforth, all cameras will go "crick" when you snap a picture. ...I'm laughing with them, that's for sure; I know we all do things that are funny to others, and if we can laugh at ourselves, well, it's a gift! Love this lens.

From my speaking, my friend told me that when I meant to say "If" I actually said "cleavage." Gotta love a tonal language!
