Crazy Quilts and Crazy Quilting

Ranked #782 in Arts & Design, #8,702 overall

Crazy Quilting is never dull

Working in this style of quilting offers a constant design challenge, balancing the texture of lace, braid, buttons and beads against all those irregularly shaped pieces of fabric. Unlike other quilting traditions apart from the general style there are no rules as such with crazy quilting. For this reason there is a large variety of materials, embellishing techniques and memorabilia included in crazy quilting. Contemporary crazy quilters take advantage of all needlework techniques and modern materials to celebrate their experience, life and creativity

This site covers links and resources that relate to creating, embellishing, and history of this form of quilting.
