Creamed Spinach Recipe
This is an easy recipe for creamed spinach
Read on to learn how to make creamed spinach .This is not only simple to make, but also delicious!
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb fresh spinach
- 1 medium choped onion
- 5 tablespoons of oil
- salt to taste (about 1 teaspoon)
- 1 table spoon flour
- half a cup of half and half
Instructions
Mix onions with the salt, and saute them until translucent. Once done (after about 10 minutes), ad the flour and half & half and cook for about 5 more minutes, while stirring occasionally.
While the onions are cooking, prepare the spinach: wash it, chop it up and cook it for about 10 minutes.
Mix the spinach with the onion mixture, stir until well blended and serve immediately.
For variation, you can add any of the following: garlic, bay leaves, cheese, and even fried eggs, for a compete meal.

- My daughter used to love something similar to this when she was small, before she could talk. I don't think she would touch it now that she is a teenager, but I might have to give this recipe a try and see if she will go for it. I would love to see her eating spinach again!
