A pergola is a beautiful structure usually on people's backyards that gives the garden environment a pleasant look and feel. according to wikipedia a "Pergola is a garden feature forming a shaded walk or passageway of pillars that support cross beams and a sturdy open lattice, upon which woody vines are trained. It may also be part of a building, as protection for an open terrace."

Thanks for the tips! I found another great blog about Pergola Plans, where they explain how simple pergola design can turn your garden into a paradise. I built one, and it became the focal point of my garden. Even if you're not experienced, you can build a pergola over the weekend and enjoy it for years!
