The way you get rap beats totally free is to download one of a number of free beat making tools. The best two that I have seen that are not in the professional price range of hundreds of dollars are sonic pro and music producer pro. These two programs are great starter programs that will let you start producing and get your feet wet without spending weeks learning a complex program like protools. If you really want to make beats, the long term you need to invest the money and get a quality recording program like logic, and something as simple as a small midi controller (a newer style keyboard that has no sounds in it. I cant talk enough about using vocal surgeons pitch correction for production. It really is the best tool in my arsenal. I spend 2 hours in the studio instead of 5 and save thousands of dollars a month, because I do not need perfect takes. I just need a take that has the right feel and the pitch is close. It take about twice the time to go from 95% to 100% accuracy with vocals. WIth vocal surgeons 95% comes out amazing.
