Great Updo with a Fake Bang

If you are interested in the Movie Burlesque, and have a little ping towards drama, here is a great way to take a modern longer layer look, and without cutting your hair, give you a set of bangs in the front! For this, you need to use some rollers, a hair binder, some thermal spray to set the curls, bobby pins, and some hairspray to set.

The style is set into your long lengths in the back, and uses the shorter lengths you may have in the front, to create a bang! You will need to wash your hair, and set it with thermal spray, and then roll up your hair in rollers to set. A row of medium sized rollers in the back will be a great way to add the curl needed to create this longer curled style.

And, if you curl the front section, you should use the same size rollers, turning into the middle of your head. You should need around 8 rollers, 4 in the back, and 4 at the front to give you a little curl. Be sure to dry wet hair in rollers, and then remove the front rollers.

The Style is all in the Front

Updo PompadourIf you are working with shorter hair in the front, that is OK. Take a comb, and work from the center of your head, and take a triangular section of your front hair, and tie this up into a ponytail. You are going to use this section to make your bangs. Then, flip the section that is loose next to the elastic, and roll it under with your comb, smoothing as you go. This creates the bangs.

You will then secure the ends under this roll, and pin at the sides of your head. Do the same for each side of your crown hair, rolling and pinning, making a roll into your side hair pieces, this time rolling up!

The remaining hair at the back of your style can be secured with a ponytail, loose, or you can roll it up all the way around.
