What is a Back Link and How Do I Get Them?

One of the biggest challenges in SEO or Search Engine Optimization is finding out how to gain effective back links to your site as these crazy world wide web crawlers keep changing the rules on us. It's difficult to know if we are doing the same thing regarding generating traffic.

So, I have put together a couple key components that will really help you understand the core components of seo. Keep in mind, you have to be patient, this typically won't happen overnight, but these processes do work!

This lens will focus on organic and ethical seo procedures that I've learned from the years of research and training as well as my own personal experience.

Back Ground of BackLinks

By: Jaime at MarketingMania2012.com

Thanks for the image Simplybacklinks.comBacklinks, also referred to as inbound links or incoming links, initially began to link pages within the website so page navigation was easier. Eventually, backlinking became a popular way to get traffic from other resources. So, overtime back-linking has led to a major component of search engine optimization. Now, with all the social networks, social bookmarking sites and other Web 2.0 sites (like Squidoo), getting backlinks from authority sites provide traffic generation avenues that everyone can get involved with.

I've outlined several sites, techniques and tools for the trade to help you generate traffic to your site below. Please, please, please...leave me comments or questions so I can help. My goal is to help 2,012 people grow their online presence in 2012!

High Authority Backlinking Sites

Marketing Mania 2012

Each of these links are sites I have a profile on and actually interact with the community. I don't just set up a username and password and leave it. It's important to know this because the more involved you get with the communities, the higher likelihood you will gain more authority and more people will want to learn from you. Every time this happens, the chances of someone linking back to your site, even within a community, builds your "Online" reputation, and the search engine crawlers will see all this activity happening with your domain and this will result in a higher ranking within the search engines. Voila! Here are some of the links I have a presence on and you should too!

Heck, if you are going to take the time to do anything, you might as well do it right. I know that saying is said a lot more than done; however, there is absolutely nothing wrong with good, old fashioned hard work. As long as there is a step-by-step process to follow, it's not that difficult, you just have to be confident and motivated. That's why I am always preaching to write about something you feel passionate about and you'll enjoy the process that much more!
Delicious
Delicious helps you find cool stuff and collect it for easy sharing. Dig into stacks created by the community and then build your own.
