Ranked #190 in Internet, #6,735 overall

Places To Link To Your Blog

Creating an income stream from your Online writing all begins with finding a number of places to link your blog to. For those who blog there can be a substantial amount of money available to be made from their articles but it all begins with linkage into, and out of, your blog.

So how do you find places to link to your blog? Where do you search out reputable sites to link to in that big old Online world that we so fondly refer to as Cyberland.

Well they are out there and you just have to find them. This article will provide you with a few great sites to help you create links into, and out of, your articles.

1. Link your blog to Twitter

Twitter is one of the most powerful messaging tools we currently have. It is also a great place to get your links out and into the hands of those that you want to share it with. But Twitter does more than just messaging your link to those who follow you, Twitter also provides you with a number of gizmos and gadgets, so you can create linkage to your articles.

Twitter provides a variety of badges and widgets that you can place on your web pages. These display your profile or your most recent posts. If you place your links on Twitter, then these widgets become a fantastic way to create linkage for your Online articles, or blogs.

Follow ladymermaid on Twitter

A Twitter account is free. Simply sign up to begin using their service. Scroll to the bottom of the Twitter home page, and you will find a little tab labeled as "Goodies", this is where you will find the Twitter widgets for you to apply to your webpages.

Now add up the linkage that these widgets can create....

I have set the Twitter Follow module to create 10 additional links to my blogs with a simple click on my Twitter account. Now take into account that I have the Twitter module placed on over about 200 my articles. That gives me a minimum of 200 X 10 = 2000 links into my articles.

Now that creates some pretty amazing stats when you begin adding up the extra linkage that a single click on Twitter can provide. That is a lot of links for people to discover, and click on, to find their way to my other articles.

For more information on Twitter visit: Twitter. Twitter is a powerful link creating tool so be sure to use it to your advantage. Start Twittering your links as you create them.

Set up on these sites is relatively easy, and both are free to use, but on Ping-o-Matic you will have to sift through the blog sites and select only the ones that it is appropriate for you to send your blog to. 14. Link your blog to your MySpace profile

MySpace is one of the most famous Social Networking sites, and up until Facebook came along, held the number one spot for Internet social sites. It still receives quite a share of traffic to it's pages. One of the nicest aspects of MySpace is that it gives you a tremendous degree of interplay with other sites. This intertwining enables me to have my twitter account connected to my Myspace page. I have my latest tweets sent from Twitter, to Myspace, as I tweet them. This saves me a lot of time and work. MySpace is a great place to promote your articles, and blogs, or to create linkage leading into them.

15. Link to other blogs and articles....

Don't forget the importance of linking to other blogs and articles. One of the best ways to create linkage to your blog, is to link it to other articles, and blogs. Link your blogs to one another or trade links with other bloggers who write on the same subjects as yourself. Never pass up the opportunity to create a valuable new link for the search engines to pick up on. Most writing or blog sites contain a community of writers. Visit these community forums, or mingle with other writers within your communities, and develop social networks on these sites. Then join or swap links when ever you can.

Keep in mind that the most valuable links are those that are along the same subject line. If you create an article on food, link your other food based articles to it, place medical links within medical based articles, etc. When you first begin blogging it is just nice to get as many links intertwined as you are able to, but as you develop more online articles and blogs, linking more specifically will become easier to accomplish.

Good news, Zujava is now included as an allowed site on Lensroll! One of the biggest forms of linkage I create is by linking from other articles I've written. The Twitter feed method you mentioned is also a great source of traffic and a great discovery method. I stopped using Delicious years ago. Does anyone still get traffic from them? I have to admit I haven't visited their site since probably 2009.

I haven't heard of ChimeIn, I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the tips!
