Among other things, 1970 in the United States brought with it the Kent State shootings, the advent of fiber optics, "Bridge over Troubled Water," Apollo 13, the Beatles' last album, the death of Jimi Hendrix, and the meltdown of fuel rods in the Savannah River nuclear plant near Aiken, SC. Americans of the era consumed leaded gas in massive V8s. Heavy industry released smoke and sludge. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity. The 1970 Earth Day helped to change many peoples' minds.

- A relative actually "repurposes" the turkey carcass, as gross as it might sound. It seems birds really take a liking to picking the meat off the bones, so nothing goes to waste. Great ideas for Thanksgiving, Squid Angel blessed!
