Be Crafty --> Reuse Stuff!

There is one slight difference between this and all the other pages offering links to different craft projects for kids: all of the projects listed here are made of common household items you usually recycle or throw into the trash! My goal while collecting all of these projects around the web was to help myself and other people interested in trashing less and reusing more stuff!

This list will be broaden all the time as I find new great craft projects so bookmark it in your browser and check it out from time to time!

Few Reasons Why We Should Reuse Stuff

Preserve nature with kids have fun!

First and most important reason is: we make more and more trash each day... Just look around you - there are so many things you can reuse! Not just for crafts but also for other purposes! I try daily to lower amount of trash I produce. Hope this will inspire you to try the same.

Second, kids simply love crafting! Give them some of this projects (if they are old enough to do it themselves) or spend some time making it with them... It can turn into hours of family fun time! Plus, they are so proud when they make something with their own hands!

On the 22nd of April, 1970, Earth Day marks the beginning of the modern environmental movement. Among other things, 1970 in the United States brought with it the Kent State shootings, the advent of fiber optics, "Bridge over Troubled Water," Apollo 13, the Beatles' last album, the death of Jimi Hendrix, and the meltdown of fuel rods in the Savannah River nuclear plant near Aiken, SC. Americans of the era consumed leaded gas in massive V8s. Heavy industry released smoke and sludge. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity. The 1970 Earth Day helped to change many peoples' minds.
