Everything Creative

I LOVE the topic of creativity! Creativity is mysterious. Creativity is Marvelous. Creativity has now has become one of the biggest buzzwords in business. Everyone in business is trying to either figure out what it is, or how to get it, or how to retain it.

The catch is, are you looking in the wrong place? No need to find it.

You already have creativity, right now.

In your company, are you trying to "think outside the box?"

Are you trying to "think inside the box?"

Well, let me ask you a few questions. Is there a box? What if there is no box?

What about "becoming more creative?"

Can you "be more creative?"

Is this a myth?

You already are creative! If you do not believe it, see it or feel it, you may simply benefit from a Creativity Coach, to receive the needed inspiration, encouragement, motivation, and sometimes, applause, to believe it, see it and feel it.

Sometimes creativity just gets a little covered up and you need a guide, a coach, a CREATIVE NUDGE ... someone who can see the good in you, and sometimes, yes, someone who can find it for you, or, who can point you in the direction it is, or someone to get in there with a shovel with you, to dig it out from where it already sits.

Now, creative thinking ... another topic for discussion. We can ALL think creatively and actually do it all day long. Yes, there is a time for creative thinking and there is a time to not think, to let go of control and to let the creative process flow in the direction it is meant to go.

Do you need creative thinking training?

I think not always. Sometimes we simply need an uncovering of the brilliance that is already there, sitting and waiting to be used to its fullest potential.

Sometimes the creative process actually requires that we not think.

Are you "out of your mind?" Yes? Great! I say, Great!

You are not out of your mind? Well then, "Get Out Of Your Mind and Get In The Flow" as I would say.

The ability to think creatively, yes, is crucial in the business world. It is a skill, and can be learned. There are links to masters in the filed of creative thinking, below. And, creative thinking is not the only way to find creative solutions to business and life challenges, and we must not get caught up only in the mind.

Very often, the best little gems of creative inspiration come from not thinking and through entering into a meditative like state, or by just taking action.

I do not mean that you have to "literally" meditate, although that does work, and I am a 100% believer in the power of meditation. However, that is only one tool and path on the road to creativity.

By not thinking, for example, an abstract painter lets go of control, is "in the flow" and the work simply comes out onto the blank canvas. A songwriters lyrics seem to come from some place other than from rational mind. A scientist gets his best ideas while swimming underwater. Others get ideas in their dreams. Very often great ideas come when you least expect it, when you are not thinking.

This is what I mean by not thinking. Sometimes there is too much emphasis on creative thinking in the field of creativity and innovation, and often what we really need to do is just the opposite ... relax, have fun, have a good time in life, laugh, let go of control, and just let the great ideas show up and bubble to the surface.

This lens is about creativity, innovation, inventions and the passion that comes from deep within the human beings, who create, on a daily basis.

This is about my passion for creativity and for understanding and finding out more about the inspirational people, who inspire us all to use what we already have, and who are, as I am, living the creative life.

Are you living the creative life? Walking your Creative Talk? I want to hear about it! Tell me your story. Stuck? Feeling Not Too Creative? I want to hear about that too.

This lens is also about a Creativity Coach, Brenda Johima, who knows that without a doubt, that you already have everything you need, right now, to live the creative life, in business, work and play. Sometimes, you just need a little nudge ...

Let Creative Nudge Move You To ... and Through the Next Open Doorway.

"Walk My Creative Talk"

Creativity and Business - Show It Off!

If you are good at something, Show It Off! Flaunt It!

You have been given gifts, talents, ideas and dreams, to share with others. As a Creativity Coach, I love to do so very many things, which is why I choose this profession.

I LOVE business, having my own business, creating and changing my business, I love art, music, the creative and expressive arts, science, technology, computers (especially MACs) and pets, dogs, animals and wildlife, and the list goes on, and on and on.

I love life, and all the things I choose to do, and get to do, on a daily basis. Creativity IS business.

In the past, people who did many things, may have been judged or viewed as "scattered" and "not focussed" or "a jack of all trades," meaning they "could not possibly be good at all those things" or that they really were "good at nothing."

Thank Goodness This Has Changed!

The ability to multi-task and to have multiple creative talents IS an asset, to you, your life, your work, career and business. Use ALL of Your Talents and seek out people to do business with, who have this quality also, or who, at minimum, value your diversity.

You can, in fact, do a multitude of things in your life and in your business. How?

I focus and commit 100% of my time and energy into everything I do, in the moment. In the next moment, I may be doing "a different career" or task, but I then commit 100% of my time, energy and focus into that moment.

So, in this way, you can still always create high quality products and services, and have a FUN life at the same time ... and I promise you, you will never be bored.

Just for the Health of It!

Brenda Johima's Energy Boosting - Creativity Boosting Routine

Where does creativity come from? What do you need for creativity to take place?

Energy. We need energy, and creativity is energy in action.

Yes, we can also create when we are depressed, unwell or low on energy, however, there is a different, and for me, a more enjoyable creative process, when I take care of my health at the same time, as part of, my creative process.

That is why at CREATIVE NUDGE Coaching and Consulting Services, we combine business, the arts, creativity and health. They go hand in hand.

So, if you can make time in your day every day for this routine, then great! If you can make time once per week, then great! This routine does take time, however, the benefits are worth it.

Here, I balance health, green drinks. exercise, green tea, and coffee! (I am not ready to give that one up yet, so, leave the coffee out if you choose.)

This is what I did, on a daily basis, in my home based business, for a very long time, and still do, on the days I can make time in my business, for the full routine. Otherwise, it's just fine to do only one part of it:
  • 1. Dry Brush Massage
    2. Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
    3. Stretch, Vocalize and Breath Work
    4. Green Drink
    5. Freshly Squeezed Vegetable or Vegetable-Fruit Juice Combo
    6. Swim
    7. Sauna
    8. Shower
    9. Meditate
    10. Write
    11. Coffee (optional or not optional)
    12. Komboucha Green Tea - Peppermint Tea Combo
    13. Breakfast
    14. Then Go About Your Day and Create, Live, Love, Work and Flourish

Thanks for the encouragement! I especially like your quote, "often what we really need to do is just the opposite ... relax, have fun, have a good time in life, laugh, let go of control, and just let the great ideas show up and bubble to the surface."

So true! If you simply let go of the idea of trying so hard to make money, often you will come up with your best ideas. Great lens here.
