Gardening makes so much sense in this economy. I plan to grow more of my own food because I want to know my vegetables are chemical-free. Also, I'm eating more raw foods as part of a health program. Freshly harvested food, from my garden, just tastes so much better than what I can purchase at a store. Thank you for encouraging others to do more gardening and composting.

Thanks for stopping by, always great to get a like but especially on this lens I only need one more to have 20 likes.
Way to go, eat more raw food and grow your own. The provenance of food is so vital and its great exercise a win win situarion

nice lens; love the photos. Might I suggest a wonderful group of folks called Freedom Gardeners? http://freedomgardens.org/ Great bunch of folks there, with answers to nearly any question of sustainable, local food growing.

This is a very nice lens. You share a lot of very helpful information here. I'd love it if you'd stop by my lens and say hello when you get the chance.

Hi there, thanks for adding this to the All about growing food group. This is exactly the kind of lens I would like there. One small thing - I think all caps headers are a bit off putting. Otherwise this is great.
