Larvae Infested Breast

This is by far my favorite creepy picture. It is supposedly the result of insect larvae infesting a breast after drying your brassiere on a bush improperly. The story is actually true and in fact there was a woman in Nigeria whose breast was infested with insect larvae after wearing a brassiere dried in this fashion however this is NOT the picture of that.

This particular picture is actually a perfectly healthy breast with some trick photography that superimposes a lotus flower seed pod over top. While done quite well, I find this picture creepier then the actual breast infestation picture and for weeks now, have not been able to get it out of my mind. Hey I admitted to being a sick puppy already.

The Sea Lamprey

This picture is a very close 2nd to the creepiest picture ever. Can you imagine this creature latching onto your body? This is not only one of the creepiest pictures I've ever seen, these creatures are the creepiest I've ever seen as well!

Sea Lampreys have invaded the Great Lakes and are feeding off and destroying the trout population that reside there. Lampreys can swim in either fresh or salt water and emigrated up the rivers and canals from the Atlantic Ocean to invade the Great Lakes.

Lamprey Eye Disease?

Okay I said 10 but I ran across this picture while researching lampreys and couldn't resist adding this as an example of people having way too much time on their hands. It's also another example of the amazing things we can do these days with cameras, digital photography and the right software.

This is so creepy and gives me the shudders!

Dog vs Porcupine

This picture does not creep me out so much as it freaks me out. This poor dog must have been in agony until she saw the vet. Her name is Inca and she's a bull terrier who decided to take on a porcupine. She reportedly had 1347 quills in her and so many in her tongue she couldn't close her mouth. According to her owner, Inca was probably showing off for her new boyfriend. She is fine now and although they couldn't get all the quills out, the ones left behind will eventually fall out on their own. Porcupine quills have backward facing barbs making extraction extremely painful. Poor baby but I hope she's learned a lesson about showing off and porcupines. Funny line from various stories: Somewhere out there is a naked porcupine. ;-D

Maggot Stuffed Oreo Cookie

Warning: You may never eat another Oreo cookie again. This picture is supposedly a cookie infested with maggots found in a package of Oreos bought from a 7-11 store. Urban Legends has judged this picture and story to be a hoax and if you click the link below, you can read why they came to this conclusion.

However if that isn't one of the creepiest pictures you've ever seen, I want to see your submission below with something creepier. What people can do with with photography these days is simply amazing. Creepy but amazing.

Dog Man

Initially this picture appears to be just weird. But look at it awhile longer and see if you don't start to feel a bit creeped out. You're almost waiting for it to smile at you and then you'll have to go change your underwear! LOL!!

I could not find the creator of this picture to give credit but it can be found anywhere on the internet and is obviously just a really good photoshop job. Still creepy though.

Snake on a Fence

Okay I am terrified of snakes and spiders. This, however, is one monster snake and if you're not scared of something this big, there's something definitely wrong with you.

There are several variants to the story behind this picture but it basically goes like this: A game farm in South Africa installed an electric fence around the compound. This snake had just swallowed a female impala and was too fat to slip under the fence so....ZAP!

The Eye of God?

This is a picture of the Helix Nebula taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2003. Around the internet it's called the Eye of God and if the idea of God watching us with this eye doesn't creep you out, what does? And where's his other eye? Or how many eyes does he have? Maybe he only needs one.

Man eats sushi and has maggots flock to his brain. Man has ingrown hair that gets infected. There are several variations regarding the story behind this picture and the link below will take you to where you can read them but experts seem to agree that the stories are fictional but debate continues as to whether the photographs are real.

Creepy Australia

This Bob Tailed Lizard is native to Australia. CREEPY! Actually I'm convinced that Australia is blessed with the world's creepiest critters and I have no intention of ever going there. I've heard they have spiders the size of kangaroos! And don't even get me started on the snakes to be found there.

When I first saw this picture, I thought that something was eating through the top of it's head much like the Brain Maggots picture above. However on further viewing, it's obviously just the coloring of the creature. Fascinating creature and apparently some people actually keep these critters for some weird reason. I'll pass.

Creepy Crawlers - Centipedes

Centipedes have always creeped me out. Even though I know that they are not necessarily bad to have around the house as they feed on other pests, they still do not live long in my house if I spot one. From researching this picture, I've also learned that centipedes can bite humans and if large enough, can cause serious reaction. Of course if I found centipedes this large in my house, I'd be moving out that's for sure! Or buying a gun.

I had to include this picture as well as I couldn't decide which of these creepy crawlers was actually creepier. This one is described by one as "creepy crawler orgy" and because of the colors could almost be considered beautiful if still horrific.

Swine flu - CREEPY!!

This is an extremely creepy spider called the Jumping Spider. It has 8 eyes but can't move them. Ugh!
