If you are a scrapbook fan, then this device will save you a lot of money!

Being a technology fan that I am, I don't always look at just "computers" or the normal geek toys. The other day, I couldn't help myself, but make a lens on a device called "Cricut by the makers of Provocraft." It is sort of a computer all to itself that makes endless shapes and fonts for scrapbook projects.

I am personally not a scrapbook person myself, but my wife is. I have seen how much money those pre-made fonts and shapes cost at stores. I think they are much more expensive in the long run than this machine will be in a life time of use. Heck, you could probably even sell the designs to your scrapbook friends. Hope you enjoy and get this lens and get a little laugh out of it as I did.

I think I know what I am going to get my wife for Christmas this year.....if she doesn't read this lens (LOL!) It would make for a good wedding gift too for somebody this summer.

Note: I have seen a lot searches lately for Disney Cricut cartridges and accessories. So, I added some Amazon examples of this below. Be sure to check out the rest of the lens for more information on the Cricut and other accessories and potential.

What is a Cricut?

A spiffy little machine:)

The machine comes in two flavors, the Cricut Machine and the Cricut Expression. The biggest difference between the two is just that, size.

The Cricut Machine is for creating die cuts from 1" to 5 1/2" where the Cricut Expression can do anything on a maximum 12" x 24" mat (that's really big for any scrapbook project or craft!)

What can it do? Almost anything scrapbook related. The basic element to the Cricut is the cartridge accessories. For example if you had a Disney cartridge then you would be able to cut out Disney related fonts, characters, etc. Where as it would be different with a wedding cartridge. If you had a wedding cartridge this would not only be a great idea for a scrapbook, but for unique decorations as well. Never the less, the sky is the limit and you imagination.

Ideas for a Cricut Create:

* Stamps (Rubber Mats Needed)
* Decorations (Seasonal, Parties, Weddings, etc.)
* Scrapbook Fonts
* Scrapbook Characters (Cartoon, etc.)
* Paper Dolls
* Bookmarks
* Christmas Ornaments

If you are real creative, I am sure that using this machine to make money from your talent wouldn't be difficult at all.
