The Criminal Minds TV Show is one of our favorite programs. My wife and I DVR it every Wednesday night, and watch it after church. The genre of police programming is not our first choice, but this one is a big exception. This lens highlights some of the reasons why, and I also include many links to articles, information and trivia that you, the fan, will find interesting and helpful. If you like Criminal Minds, please leave a comment at the end of this lens.
The Criminal Minds TV Show is an American police technical drama that features a squad of FBI profilers who focus more on the criminal than the crime itself. Their near genius analysis provides entertainment and information which leaves the viewer with the feeling of seeing into the unsub's (Unknown Subject of an Investigation) mind. This keen insight generally leads to a capture or kill of the bad guy. The drama is heavy, but the uniqueness of the characters provides some light humor as the family atmosphere of the team is revealed. This makes the horrendous serious nature of the plots with all its suggested gore more than bearable. We root for the good guys, laugh at the humor, anticipate the well timed quotes given in each episode, marvel at the insights of the team, and rejoice at the capture of the serial killers. This is fun!

It sure is! Over the years you get to know a lot about the 'personal lives' of the characters and it makes you feel like you know them. Also the show is intelligently written and makes you think.

Yes, it is my favorite. While I really like all of the characters on the show, Reed is by far my favorite character on any current tv show.

Hello Fellow Criminal Minds Fans
I have been a fan of Criminal Minds for years now. But, ,my husband of 14 years cannot fathom why any normal person would want to watch such a "horrifically sickening and violent" show.
About a year or so ago, he began expressing his distaste about my viewing choice by dropping little snide remarks while I would be watching and recently he has begun walking in the room and turning off my TV. He and I have always gotten along really well but this childish behavior on his part has really gotten under by skin. Just moments ago (while I was enjoying one of my favorite episodes, he walked into the room, turned off the tube, shook his head in disgust, and insinuated that there must be something "wrong" with me.
I am a grown woman who after 54 years on this earth have learned how to defend myself, my tastes and my beliefs in an appropriate manner. But, for some reason I am simply speechless in this situation.
Got any suggestions>

I used to like it... The first season was great! But then it started going downhill. The writing got worse and it got very gory. My favorite crime dramas are The Mentalist... And Law and Order Criminal Intent.

NCIS is my favorite Crime Drama. I find it quirky; though, I do enjoy criminal minds. My favorite episode is when Dr. Reid is kidnapped by the guy who played Dawson on Dawson's Creek.

- I love criminal minds and keep hoping it gets back to its past glory. The agent rossi character is unbelievable, at best, and his acting is not on par with the others!!! Why can't the CBS see this??? he is not a super hero; its supposed to be a team not robin hood and his merry men.
