A story of three young men and one young woman bound for destiny's core
The game mainly focuses around Zack Fair, a 2nd Class (and later 1st class) SOLDIER in the employ of the Shinra Corporation. He meets many of the Final Fantasy VII characters, including Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough, with whom he develops strong bonds. The game's storyline takes the player from the war with the Wutai to the events at Nibelheim, and right up to the time just before the Final Fantasy VII beginning. (read more)

Debate: Who does Aerith truly love?
Oh, how we love FFVII love-triangle debates. The FFVII forum has the love-triangle between Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith and we all know that debate has been done to death. But since Crisis Core's release Zack has been added into the mix, and it's nice having something new to discuss in the love-triangle.
Who do you think Aerith really loves by the end of Advent Children?

cloud bc thats the way it was ment to be... all the fangirls pick zack bc they played crisis core before the original.. crisis core was a terrible game playwise and storywise it conflicted with the originals flashbacks in a way that makes diehard fans wonder if square enix even looked back at the original.. in the original if you dont visit certain places you dont even know who zack truely is.. sure you see him when sephiroth explains to you about the real events of clouds hometown (which didnt include genesis at all hence the plot hole of crisiscore). and yes you can easily piece together that cloud is like zack and that attracts aerith to him i the first place.. but doesnt talk about zack at all in the original atleast not by name (and not a whole lot even if you visit certain spots). moral of the story? zack was merely an explaination to what cloud really is.. a "clone" of sephiroth.. zack was a character they had never intended to be used in a game as a main character.. they needed an explaination as to how sephiroth controls cloud and they came up with the jenova cells are linked together so they can pass information between each other idea. hojo injected cloud and zack in hopes that 1 atleast would become a clone.. turns out shin ra doesnt care much for hojo and his experiments bc they kill zack.. the J-cells linked passing zack's memory, skill, and parts of his past to cloud... zack was a tool and nothing more... was he a "neat" guy in crisis core? sure.. but he wasnt ment to be focused on... meaning aerith loved cloud with all her heart.. thats why she gave her life for him to have a chance at stoping sephiroth with holy..

maybe zack gave her a promise but he didn't kept it because he gave his life for his best friend.

- storywise crisis core was terrible... anyone who actually played the original first would know angeal and genesis were stupid characters to throw in there... the play was ok although i prefer the ATB system simply for nastalgia.. zack is an ok character but i cant see him as a main one... his past even after crisis core is splotchy and if people would stop drooling over the "new game" factor and examine it they would see that it didnt make a whole lot of sense when compared to the classic... want a remake of the one that started it all.. and without the lame crisis core "noob" characters being mentioned (genesis angeal) come on square enix.. give me a reason to buy a ps3 otherwise ill just be stuck with halo 3 for fucking ever...
