Criss Angel users create and send a personalized video e-mail that is sure to freak their friend's mind. Opening the video email, viewers are greeted by Criss, who is performing a card trick, which shockingly reveals the viewer's name and phone number. The video self-destructs, and seconds later, the person's phone is ringing, and Criss is on the line, reminding them to watch his show. Freak Your Friends before they freak you.

MindFreak takes viewers into the world of Criss Angel -- called the "postmodern Houdini" by MTV -- whose distinct blend of magic, mentalism, and dazzling pyrotechnic effects has made him the hottest young magician in America today. In past seasons, he has astonished fans with such incredible feats as hanging suspended by hooks from a helicopter over the Nevada desert and splitting a woman in two in a public park.

In the third season -- in addition to celebrity guests, street performances, and behind-the-scenes looks at the magic -- Criss Angel will perform all new mind-bending feats: levitating 500 feet above the ground over Las Vegas' Luxor Hotel and Casino, (whose 800-degree light beam is the only man-made object besides the Great Wall of China that can be seen from space), making a Lamborghini vanish -- at high speed -- and topping Houdini himself in a tribute to the father of magic.

Criss Angel (born Christopher Nicolas Sarantakos on December 19, 1967), is a Greek American magician, musician, mentalist, mystifier, hypnotist, escapologist, stunt performer, and actor.

Raised in East Meadow, New York, Angel grew up loving music (played drums and accordian), and always had an interest in magic. One of his biggest magic influences is Harry Houdini. He has two brothers, JD and Costa. His father was also a big influence on him, especially after battling cancer before dying in 2007.

When he was just six years old, Criss Angel immersed himself in a multitude of art forms, exploring different types of creative endeavors from performance artist and musician to mystifier and provocateur. A relentless work ethic combined with enormous talent, skill and vision propelled Criss into the spotlight - he is now recognized as one of the most provocative artists of our day. From creator, producer and performer in his television series and specials to his live shows, soundtracks, other music and book, he has redefined the term artist for the 21st century.

After studying the art of mysticism, music, martial arts, and dance as an adolescent, the native New Yorker acquired state and federal pyrotechnic licenses at 18 and 21, the youngest ages allowed to carry such permits.

In 1994, Criss made his prime-time television debut in a featured appearance that captivated audiences in the ABC one-hour special titled "Secrets." In 1998, Criss Angel: World of Illusion headlined Madison Square Garden's annual Halloween spectacle. The sold-out 12-day run received an overwhelming response from an audience of over 80,000.

In October 2002, Criss' first-ever hour-long television special, "Criss Angel Mindfreak," debuted on the ABC Family channel, which led the network's "13 Nights of Halloween" campaign as the highest-rated original program.

While filming that special, in August 2002, Criss captivated the country when he submerged himself - chained and shackled - in a 220-gallon water torture cell for 24 hours and escaped. The stunt garnered international coverage in newspapers across the country including the cover of the New York Daily News and The New York Sun.

This mind blowing effect can be performed anywhere, anytime, by anyone with no experience, with no special props. That's the great part. No props, no gimmicks, no switches and no set ups of any kind. This is one of the greatest street magic tricks I've ever seen.

Here's what you do ... borrow a spectator's signed coin... ask for any can of soda or beer from anywhere... then watch their face as their signed coin miraculously penetrates their sealed can, which immediately is heard and seen inside the can.

As a matter of fact, the spectator can be the first person to try to remove the coin from the open can when they get home!

It's completely clean. Delve inside 'Criss Angel Masterminds DVD' as Criss and Wayne demonstrate the play-by-play breakdown for you to perform the 'Quarter Through Soda Can.'

Here's The Effect:

Borrow a coin from the spectator and have them mark it with a Sharpie marker. Then have them select ANY sugar packet in the entire restaurant (they can get it from a different TABLE if they want. Set it aside...keeping it in view at all times.

Show their marked coin. Then make the coin vanish COMPLETELY. It looks like the coin just disintegrated. It's gone from both hands, front and back. Clearly gone.

Then with your CLEARLY empty hands, slowly pick up the sugar packet and tear it open. For the finish, let the spectator reach inside and take out THEIR SIGNED COIN!

Immediately hand the sugar packet (even the part you ripped off) out for examination. They will find nothing wrong with either the coin or the sugar packet. The props were borrowed, remember?
