If I was the goal keeper and was going against a team I would rather go against messi. Why? Well because CR7's long range shooting ability is deadly. The power and accuracy in his shots are unbelievable. He also has the ability to use both his feet to score, the ability to score on headings, and overall he has stronger physical strength. Messi however is good, but seems to only be able to shoot with his left foot. Without Xavi and Iniesta in Barcelona, messi wouldn't be getting all this hype. Without all those crucial passes, Messi wouldn't be messi. If I was a fan watching the game, I would want to watch Cristiano Ronaldo. Why? Well hes unpredictable! Messi, all he does is receive a pass, dribble pass all the defenders, and flick the ball over the goal keeper. Ronaldo however, is deadly in all areas. In the air (because of his height), far range (his massive thighs like oak trees), and especially in the penalty box (where he fakes his fouls and gets a free penalty which he is better at taking then messi)

LOOK, if i could be as good as one player in the world right now i would pick messi. TBH i think that ronaldo is a better indivudual player as you can see beucase when messi plays international he is not the same. Dont get me wrong, he is still incredible on Argentina but for Barca..... Its scary to play against him.     Well what if Real win the Spanish championship and Barca win the Copa del Rey who is the best?

    Barca has in this season also won the FIFA Club World Championship, and you have to first win the UEFA European Club Championship in order to attend the FIFA tournament (which Real hasn't been able to Ronaldo or not) + in this season Barca has also won the UEFA Super Cup & Spanish Super Cup.

    And is it only these things that determines it, Messi has no matter what (currently) still made the most goals, has a better efficiency and made the most assists including setting a new World Record for most goals in a season, beating Gerd Müllers incredibily goal scoring record.

    So measured on titles this season + individual stats Messi v Ronaldo =

    1)Messi = FIFA Club World Championship, Copa del Rey Winner (or runners up), Spanish championship runners up, UEFA Super Cup Winner & Spanish Super Cup Winner.
    + New world record for most goals in a season, and very likely more assists and better effectivity in terms of goals in relation to trial (incl. topscorer in the UEFA European Club Championship & the Spanish championship).

    2)Ronaldo = Spanish championship Winner.

    = Messi is the best.
