A Crocheted Hamburger ~ Can I Take Your Order?

A crocheted hamburger? my mom said to me inquisitively. Yes, I replied, I thought it would look great in your kitchen, perhaps atop your refrigerator or over there on that ledge!

I think she thought I had gone mad, but she knew how much into creating my own unique crafts I was. So she accepted it gratefully and it has remained in her kitchen for, oh, around forty years.

That was the prototype. When I got back to my crocheting a few years ago, one of the first things I created was a new-look hamburger. The one you see on this page. I thought that others may like the look of it too, either for themselves or as a unique gift. That's when eBay came to mind and I tentatively listed one, just to see how much interest it garnered.

I was amazed! My humble hamburger was getting inquiries from all over the world - and I was selling it at a steady pace.

Well, it's back once more. For all those that love their hamburgers, but just don't want to add on those extra pounds, here is the no-calorie hamburger - made with a slice of cheese, tomato, lettuce and, of course, a hamburger patty. All topped off with a juicy olive.

So much better than McDonalds ;)

Somehow I stumbled across this lens and very nice. That hamburger is so cool. Brought back memories of my grandma always making me mittens and hats and various other things, it takes some talent. Anyways, very informative and great lens. A 5 star in my book and a new fave.
