Couldn't buy a Coach, so I made a crocheted faux-fur tote!
DON'T get me wrong! I LOVE Coach handbags and any OTHER fashion designer handbags that I see either in shopping malls or on online auction sites like Bidzinger. But, my old purse gave out a little too soon and I needed a new one for the holidays and didn't have a few hundred dollars to spare to buy a Coach since it is too close to the holidays. ..So, I improvised.

I really love to crochet and had a little downtime while I was watching some shows with my husband late at night and thought it would be really neat to have a crocheted tote to carry around for the holidays. I designed it myself and you can make it in any colors you want and what size you want and I thought I would share it with my Squidoo family free to you.

Chain 50. Sc in first chain all the way across to the end of the row. Continue until you have sc 55 rows. Tie off. Put sides together and single crochet on each side. Tie off. Add your favorite color faux-fur yarn and completely sc 8 rows all of the way around. Tie off.
Handles-(make 2)Ch.6. Sc 50 rows. Tie off.
Sew handles onto the tote. Embellish if desired.

- I used to crochet all the time and would love to try making a tote. Great idea! I agree with Julie about trying the polaroid module for a huge picture.
