Ridiculously Huge Pom Pom Hat

Before you start, you should know that this entire hat is oversized, not just the pompom. I made it so that someone with lots of hair or, say, dreads could wear it. If you want it smaller, just skip one increase row (which will also make it a little shorter) and maybe adjust the earflaps so they start with 7 sts instead of 9.

The hat band, which can be crocheted on its own if you're just after an ear-warmer/headband, is done in front-post double crochet to create a ribbed faux-fair isle-style. If you're like me and you have loads of partial skeins lying around, this is a great way to use them up.

New, Easy Crocheted sneakers pattern.SIZE is for a foot length of 9 to 10 inches. I don't have time right now to do patterns for different sizes, so I would suggest for larger sneakers, use a larger hook size. I wouldn't go any larger than a size 6.00 mm (J-10 US). For smaller slippers, use a smaller hook. I wouldn't go any smaller than 3.75 (F-5 US) as it may be too difficult to work with. You could try a sportweight yarn with a smaller hook for even smaller sizes.
