Crochet Squirrel Pattern

Free Crochet Squirrel Pattern by Momwithahook This is my very first pattern to write out. I've motified it once but if you find any errors please do let me know.

I've posted this at CrochetMe.com and really enjoy making these little guys. In the first one I made arms from pipe cleaners and hot glued google eyes. You can add safety eyes (I like SunCatcherEyes.com) or really anything your creative heart desires. Make Him/Her your squirrel.

My Squirrel Friend

As featured on Crochet Me

Introduction

I'm pretty new to crochet toys so this is my first written pattern for the ones I do make. I've been into an animal fetish lately and this is just one of the animals I am in love with. I made this squirrel from a picture I found in a Nature Photography Book.

I am really bad at enhancing my creations 'personality' so don't feel you have to use exactly what I did. You can embroider, cut out felt features, use buttons, or whatever you feel with bring out your Squirrels personality.

Squirrel Pattern - Assembly

Assembly and Personality

Assembly:

Using the 12" tail from the head and a tapestry needle, attach the head to the body. Fold the Tail in half and then sew onto the back of the squirrel with the 12" yarn tail and a tapestry needle. Fluff to your liking.

Personality:

I just hot glued some google eyes on as well as a felt nose and teeth. On the ears and the belly I put some felt accents. The arms I just took a chenelle pipe cleaner and stuck it into the body. The legs are a half circle chenelle pipe cleaner hot glued to the bottom.

Potato the Squirrel $
"Potato" is an adorable little squirrel inspired by my obsession with squirrels! I call him "Potato" because when all I had finished was his body, it looked like a potato. He is approximately 7 inches tall. Now with my Dressed for Halloween pattern, you can turn Potato into a Devil, Vampire, Ghost, or Alien! This listing is for both patterns; Potato the Squirrel & The Dressed for Halloween add on. So you'll be able to make a normal Potato the Squirrel or a Halloween one.
