Learn to Crochet With Momwithahook

Squidoo Lensmasters who Crochet: A Directory

Hi! I'm Momwithahook and I'd love for you to join me as I share with you my love for crochet.

Anyone can learn to crochet - REALLY - I have only been crocheting since 1999. I was hopelessly lost as far as any type of crafty skills until I became pregnant with my last son. I wanted to make a blanket for him so took 2 lessons at the local craft store. Thanks to the patience of my instructor I am now a prolific crochet artist.

Whether you are just starting out or if you've been doing it for 10 or 20 years you can share your patterns or tips on this page. You can even ask me a question and I will try and answer it to the best of my knowledge. If I can't answer it I will find someone who will.

The fun part of Squidoo is that we are a lot of people who enjoy sharing what we enjoy - in my case - Crochet.

Crochet Pattern Stitches

Taking Your Crochet to the Next Level

Pattern stitches use the basic stitches but in various ways. For instance you can stitch 5 double crochets in one stitch or skip a stitch or even cross a stitch. All pattern stitches use the basic stitches in one way or another so if you know that much you'll be able to decipher any special stitch.

This is going to be very helpful. I guess I should find my hooks. Thanks

Great to find you through twitter. I love to crochet. I don't have any crochet specific lenses, but I do have my crafts lens and my crafts as gifts lens that included crochet. My current crochet project is making all the double thick crocheted hot pads that I can from my sash of varigated yarn. I've made 13 so far and I think I can make 8 more with the yarn I have.

I love to crochet and I used to before but have not been at it for so long. I should go back to it. This is very inspiring.

Yes, I hope you do too. It helps relieve my stress and exercises my creative 'muscle'.
