Crosley cr6007a Review Turntable Record Player

The Crosely cr6007a is a great little system. I particularly enjoy that it has it's own speakers (which are really not bad quality at all). This little record player gives quite good sound. But it can also be outputted to a larger system.

What I love about this particular USB turntable is that you don't need to hook it up to a computer to record onto a USB (or SD card). This means that there is no software to have to install and suck up space on your hard drive. It's a very simple process of hitting a few buttons and you've got your files in an mp3 format!

MANY of the usb turntables on the market require software to convert the files. I don't want to have to run a cable from my turntable to my computer (what if I have them in different rooms?). I think this is one of the BEST selling features for me. If you're like me, you don't need any extra software slowing down your computer. I'd avoid those turntables completely!

You also have the capability to load up songs on a USB or SD card and play them through the device. There is an auxiliary input for an mp3 player or iPod as well. Really, aside from no CD player, this unit is an all-in-one package, complete with AM/FM radio capabilities. The receiver picks up the sound quite well.

The Crosley cr6007a comes with a handy remote control. It's got a classy look and sounds great for the price! It's compact but plays 78, 45, and 33 1/3 records. The knobs are durable compared to many other turntables. The unit is quite durable yet light and easy to assemble.

There are one or two negatives. The turntable is not automatic. You have to manually place the needle on the record (but really is it that hard?) and there is no automatic return arm either. The speakers aren't the best, but they produce good quality for what they are. And honestly it's best to output the sound to a nicer system anyway.

I think it would make a solid investment and it's definitely worth the price. You won't be disappointed with this product and, even if you don't have a better sound system now, you can enjoy the sound coming out of this little unit. And it fits in many places.

The unit itself is great! The knobs are durable, the sound is good, and the system works and looks great. You have the capability to improve the sound by channeling it out or just use the built-in speakers to rock out. The power behind this little unit is amazing for it's size. Plus I didn't need anymore computer software! This device makes mp3 files without the use of a computer. Awesome! I didn't have a usb cable long enough to run from my player to the computer anyway.

I just wanted other people to know that I've done the research and this is really the best record player that I've seen in this price range. The competitors don't match it. Either the knobs are weak and bust easily, or the unit requires direct PC hook-ups with software, or there is no ability to output the sound to a bigger system (should you have one). Those are important factors to most people searching. I just wanted to save everyone here some time and let you know that my review of the Crosley cr6007a is built from actual hands-on experience. I've done the hard part. This IS the best quality record player for it's insanely low price.
