The Crosman Phantom CS1K77 and CS1K77X 1000 fps Break Barrel Air Rifle
The Crosman Phantom Break Barrel Air Rifle was introduced in 2006 by the Crosman Corporation. The Phantom is remarkably similar to the 2004 Quest 1000 models, however the Phantom is made with an all-weather synthetic checkered stock and forearm that give it added versatility for uses in all climates.
At 6.02 lbs and 44.5" long, the Phantom packs some serious power with the ability to achieve 1000 fps velocities with standard pellets. The Phantom is available for purchase today and can be bought with or without a Center Point 4x32 scope Model AR22. Purchasing the 1000x model will save a few dollars on the scope, and I like the added option to mount the scope.

The Crosman Phantom 1000x Model CS1K77X is the exact same break barrel pellet gun as the Phantom 1000 model CS1K77, but the "X" model is sold with a Crosman Centerpoint AR22 4x32mm Air Rifle Scope and Scope Rings to easily mount the scope. The Crosman Phantom with Scope air gun package does not come with the scope mounted.

The Crosman Phantom Break Barrel Air Rifle was introduced in 2006 as an all-weather solution for target shooting, pest control, and small game hunting. There are many similarities to the Crosman Quest Air Rifle in its performance and specifications. The primary difference is the all-weather synthetic stock.
My Take on the Phantom: It is the synthetic stock that attracted me to this air rifle. I think that this adds a usability to the rifle that makes it stand out over the Quest. The Quest is a great rifle for a specific use, but I believe that the Phantom has a more all-purpose versatility because of the synthetic stock. If your looking for a rugged air rifle with power and versatility, the Phantom is a great buy.
