This winter, my partner and I did a quickie, 4 day Caribbean route on Carnival. Just two ports - Key West, FL and Los Cabos, Mexico - but still it's always great to catch some tropical sun in the winter. Especially when you live in rainy Seattle.

OK - this one definitely fits in the cruise travel deals category - but I will be the first to admit that Carnival is nobody's luxury cruise line. Did I mention it was free???? Yup - not a dime to get onboard, just the cost of our airfare and of course excursions, alcohol and such. What can I say - I'm a sucker for a bargain...

Here's a picture of a private beach we visited in Mexico. The tour guide said it is the one you see in all the Corona beer commercials... Prolly a line for the tourists, but hey, it was definitely beautiful.
