Look for Cruise Travel Deals before Settling on Your Next Vacation Destination
Some people spend hours upon hours looking for great cruise travel deals on the internet, even if they aren't planning on going on a cruise. It is great fun to dream of it, though. Some people even have the wallpaper on their computer set up as a live webcam of their favorite cruise ship so that they can see what the people on the ship sees and dream of someday being on that cruise.
You really don't have to dream about it. If you are planning a vacation this year, why not make it a cruise? It is actually less expensive to cruise than to fly to your destination, pay for hotel rooms, pay for all of you meals, pay for all of your entertainment, etc. A cruise includes all of these things for the price of admission. You will be responsible for getting to your launch site, however, but some online travel agents will make it an all inclusive package with airfare included. Some people prefer to drive to the dock themselves and save even more money.
So, where do you want to go for your next vacation? Will you look for Alaska cruise deals or Hawaii travel deals? Perhaps you would like a more exotic location and will look for Cozumel travel deals or Belize travel deals. Jamaica is considered to be the most visited island in the Caribbean, so maybe Jamaica travel deals are what you will seek. The point is that it doesn't matter where you want to travel, there are cruise deals and travel deals that will get you there for less than you would ever expect to pay for a vacation.
Now, on a cruise you will need to have some cash to pay for your shore excursions, which can range from about $15 to a couple hundred per person, depending on the excursion or the activity. Shore excursions will always come with a guide, who will expect a gratuity if his service is very good, as will others who offer you a service on your cruise and at your ports of call. Gratuities are rarely included in the price of the cruise and should be given generously if your service is as exceptional as it always is on a cruise.
Some other additional expenses that you may run across on a cruise are alcoholic beverages (included on some cruises but not on others), specialty restaurants (many cruises only include the buffet and you have to pay for the specialty, full service restaurants), and gambling if the cruise has a casino. But, keep in mind that you will pay for all of these things without question on any vacation you take.
Some cruise ships are actually all inclusive and all of the above mentioned things, except probably the casino play, although they may give you some free comps to get started with, are fully included in the price. These cruises will be more expensive, but they will also be luxury cruises on luxury cruise liners, which are second to none other on the sea. You know what your vacation budget is. Check out some cruise travel deals and see how well a cruise will fit into your budget.
