Hubby and I are BIGTIME cruise fans! I have friends who shun them, saying they are for old people or people who love to eat buffets 'round the clock! Sure a cruise is not for everyone, but I say "don't knock it until you've tried it". I agree with you, that it is a great way to sample many diverse places in a relatively short period of time, rather than spending a week of more in 1 location that you may or may not end up enjoying. We have met a number of wonderful people over our years of cruising, and while every cruise was not "perfect" in every sense of the word, we would not give up those memories for the world!
