Crystal soil beads are non-toxic, so if a child or pet gets into them Not To Worry! They also bio-degradable, which is nice if your concerned about the environmental. What I like about the beads is that the colors don't fade, not even in the sun-light. Soil beads really do make a difference in plant and root health, I have seen the difference first-hand.
What Are Water Beads? They are a Super Absorbent Polymer and can absorb up to 200 times their own weight. You can even soak them in pot potpourri oils to make your own room fresheners. Be careful because Gnomes like to play with the water beads, so watch them mischievous little ones!
Soil water beads turn into kind of a Jello marbles after being soaked in water. They are similar to the material found in disposable diapers.

- Our landscaper put this in our grass seed when he installed our lawn to let us know how much to water. It was pretty cool, when we watered it looked as we had sparkly diamonds in our lawn. I never knew they could be used in containers.

I like the vibrate color of the blue deco water beads, but then I do use blue as an accent color throughout my living space. Its a nice way to start plants for me, when I need to trim back those vines that what to take over.
