    Definitely not anymore for sure. I think she is down to a size 6 now. Even at her biggest I don't think she was above 14. Which really, in clothing size rides the wave between straight and plus sizes. But the fashion world labeled her full-figure and eventually plus size replaced that. Thanks Cathi.

    Is size 10-14 plus sized? Actually size 14 is average for American women. We need to get a grip. I think Crystal is beautiful. :)

    Yes... and No. ;D In the runway and print fashion industry size 8 to 14 is considered to be a full-figured model, 14-18 a plus size model, although there are many models above that size who get regular work too.

    In the clothing industry plus size generally starts at 14 but many companies are starting at 10, not because they think those sizes should be classified as plus but because those sizes have shown an interest in their clothing.

    I think we all need to work toward size acceptance for all sizes big and small. It is just a number or label, and not the be all and end all of us as women -- being plus size is not a curse, it is just a number.

    I didn't recognize her until I saw the cover of "Hungry", which I read about a while ago, and still that picture sticks in my mind. This woman is gorgeous! I can't believe she is (or was) considered "plus size", she is healthy and gorgeous! There is a proper amount of fat on her body. she actually has curves, it's fantastic. I am sortof sorry to hear she lost weight, really, because she seemed like such a good advocate for "you don't have to be stick thin", and by losing weight that sortof shadows her strength as an plus-size advocate, in my eyes. Well, she's still beautiful, and hopefully she is still being a model "her way"! Also thanks for pointing out the other plus size models...I am curious...

    Crystal Renn is beautiful, and a SIZE 10 IS NOT PLUS SIZE! If this society believes sizes 10-14 are plus size, then beliefs and what a woman should LOOK like in others' eyes, are EXTREMELY living in the HOLLYWOOD DREAM WORLD! Women that were photographed in the 1940-1950's were "hour glass shape" and beautiful. This fantasy that all women need to be a size 0-6 is strictly for hollywood. Most of the actors/actress types from hollywood are UNREALISTIC sizes and all of the women that are on TV shows/movies, etc. are PATHECTICALLY SKINNY AND DON'T LOOK HEALTHY!

    how do you stuff 165 lbs into a size 10? i weigh 10 lbs less and am lucky to get into a 14.must be the cut.

    I weigh 175 and am a size 10-12. It depends on your body fat distribution (very proportional), frame, and muscle, and height of course. Im 5 ft 7 i would say average.

    Seriously, she is amazingly beautiful. Though I am a little confused about her weight? I am exactly the same height and have literally exactly the same measurements though a slightly larger bust - 38D and am an Australian size 16 (US 12 I believe) however I weigh almost 200lbs.

    Perhaps it's just ditributed unevenly in my head or something???

    I think she's a great inspiration though and whenever I feel a bit down about my size, I come have a look at some pics of her and she inspires me to be proud of what and who I naturally am

    Jane, You must have more muscle is the answer, like Tina Lockwood, the body-builder, of which if Renn were to hit the gym to sculpt her legs and add on an extra inch of bicep muscle she would indeed be THE most gorgeous woman in THE world! Take a look at her briefcase over the head photo in black dress at the mis-spelling of Crystal Wren at GOOGLE, with the letter: W (under the big W in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" - her a treasure galore!), reminds me of Gale Sondergaard as Tylette in "The Blue Bird" movie of 1940 and her running through the forest fire. Here today after seeing her on today's Charles Osgood's CBS "Sunday Morning" TV show.

    There's no way Crystal Renn weighs 165 lbs, because at my height... my weight would be pretty equivalent, and I wear a size 8. I hate it when they knock down/up plus size models weights (like how many different numbers have we heard for Marilyn Monroe?) Crystal clearly weighs more, and that's fine.. she's gorgeous, but let's not be in denial!

    Would you clarify what size chart you are utilising - Australian, American, United Kingdom or European. I am exactly her height and weight and I wear a size 14 (Australian). So if you are using an Australian size chart there would be no way you could be her height and weight and wear a size 8.

    I think that Crystal is a beautiful woman. I have never understood men that love stick women, if there's no curves there's nothing to catch the eye. I am one of a growing number of men and women that feel that "Healthy" beauty such as Crystal's is the best. I am glad to see that the world didn't ruin her. Stay beautiful and know there are many people out there that draw courage from you.

    The sad thing is that she is being touted as a "plus size" model. Crystal is a size 12. That's isn't plus sized - that's actually the average American woman.

    I was in 10th grade algebra with Crystal in Clinton, MS! She was gorgeous then, and I think even more beautiful now! You can tell how comfortable she is and how much she is loving life and her body now.
