Edmonton's  Chorale Saint-Jean is a 65 member mixed French language university and community choir, the largest in Western Canada, associated with Campus Saint-Jean of the University of Alberta. Chorale Saint-Jean prides itself in providing French-speaking singers the opportunity to sing both classical and more popular repertoire (Piaf, Aznavour,) in a unique French environment. Possessing incredible joie de vivre, this high-spirited ensemble charms its audiences with its passionate vocal interpretations and musical sincerity. It presents two concerts each year, a "Concert de Noel" at Christmas and a "Concert de Printemps" in the Spring. These concerts are usually held in one of Edmonton's most beautiful churches. Chorale Saint-Jean made a very successful of Quebec in 2005 and again in July 2008 to take part in Quebec City's 400th birthday celebrations. See: tour.

About jcgiguere

My name is Jean-Claude Giguere. I live in the great city of Edmonton, Alberta - Canada with my wife Marie-Joelle who was born in the beautiful region of France called Brittany. I was myself born in the province of Quebec. We therefore both speak French as our mother tongue. We have two children and we are the proud grandparents of two girls ( aged 9 and  6  )  and of a set of four year old twin boys.We have lived in several towns and cities across Canada, a country we love dearly.

My son Eric Giguere, a software engineer, is the author of a book on how to use Google's Adsense program to make money ( which he dedicated to me ) and other computer related books. For more information visit www.ericgiguere.com. My daughter, Anik Giguere-Biollo, the twin's mother, publishes a website on baby strollers at www.stroller-advisor.com

I sing in the tenor section of Edmonton's Chorale Saint-Jean.
