About a boy
Hi everybody. My name is Shane McElveen. I'm a graphic design monkey (This means that I love designing everything, from interiors to ads to cars to tee shirts...I love designing. And that's what makes anyone a design monkey. No boundaries other than what looks and feels write on whatever "canvas" you're working on).
Just recently I've accepted a new position as Production Coordinator (yes, yes, I know, WTF indeed, but hold on) which means that I am learning to add HTML, CSS, etc. to my current design skills, thus becoming a Web Designer.
On top of this, I'm an idea man, a creative consultant, a concept artist, and a writer. I do freelance work any time I can get it, and am working with some friends to start our own freelance web design/IT agency in the near future (look for Lionfish Studios, baby). I love to sit down and create things that make people take notice. But I love it even more when I look back a year later and realize it really was a good design, or a good drawing, or a good story. My writing is a combination of fantasy, sci-fi and horror...at least that's what I aspire to.

Proud Papa
I'm a kid at heart and a dad by God's grace.
I have 2 awesome kids who I thank God for every day. I don't get to see them every day b/c they attend school in Sumter, SC, but we make our time together count.My son, Seth, is the oldest. He will be 10 years old soon (yeah, I know, I'm old.) Seth is a Jedi Master Killer. He loves playing outside with plastic swords, getting dirty, and dueling light sabers with his old man. Seth is incredibly artistic and imaginative, and currently wants to be a writer when he grows up. not to mention, he's incredibly good looking. They say he looks like his dad. Heh. Seth loves pirate movies, Harry Potter, the LOTR movies, and, obviously, Star Wars.
My daughter Willow will be 5 years old soon. She is very much a little princess. Like her brother Seth, Willow is very loving and intelligent. Also like her brother, Willow loves to draw and paint. Like me when I was very young, Willow prefers to sit in her room and play with her toys to playing outside. If you listen, you can hear her create characters and make them have adventures as she plays. It brings a huge smile to my face every time I see it. Willow loves princess movies, from the Disney Princesses to Barbie fantasy movies.

Knight In Dark Armor
On being a "knight in shining armor" type:
I'm no Prince Charming. I do not have a white horse. If I did have a horse, he'd likely be a black Clydesdale with sharpelly teeth. And to be honest, my "armor" is so worn from life that I'm really more of a dulled out black knight with no heraldry to speak of.As it is, I drive an old burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee, wear black leather wristbands and black shirts, jeans, chain wallets and leather jackets.
Inside I remain a "nice guy" and, even if I'm tired of the whole dating game, I remain a romantic deep down. So maybe that still qualifies me as a "knight in shining armor". I'm really not so sure that it matters any more.
