I keep referring back to your lenses and I still get things wrong! Oh dear me! Do you have a tutorial on how to get the Squid Angels lined up with their pictures and names alongside? Mine were looking terrible so I've gone back to just a link. You have great information on your lenses...pity some of us are a bit cack handed!
  • Greekgeek May 28, 2012 @ 11:04 pm | delete
For just a few lensmasters, use the Featured Lensmasters module that does it automatically.

    For more, do this:
    http://www.squidoo.com/featured-lensmasters-lenses

(If you want their names underneath, scroll down to the "New Improved" version and add captions that are links to your names)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by alongside, but that will at least do it with the lensmaster image and name below!

Thank you for sharing! I am a bit confused yet as to what is the difference between CSS and HTML? I am learning the basics of HTML, and am slowly becoming better at it :) I find that Squidoo lenses are a great place to find quick answers for this stuff when I need it!

I've been here before, came back today because I needed a refresher on some of these steps. It's interesting that it is so much easier to find this page in a Google search bar than in Squidoo's own. Go figure! But I thank you once more for taking time to compile this information.

I went to favourite this post and it didn't work, I am working my way through your suggestions and I have a couple of kindle books on HTML and CSS but I gave up on them half way through, will have to look them up again but I do like the way that you help us, I didn't take everything in but I did get a better understanding. I have book marked your page so I can keep reverting back to it, and if newbies like me never show their appreciation for the help that your posts offer then I will say it for them (SO HELPFUL) thank you

  • annel Sep 21, 2010 @ 12:42 am | delete
Can you suggest which fonts can be used with css?
like for example I want to use something gothic, which one would actually work?
    thanks, very helpful lens
  • Greekgeek Sep 29, 2010 @ 6:19 pm | delete
You want "Web safe fonts," fonts that almost every computer has regardless of operating system or browser. Here's a chart:
    http://www.ampsoft.net/webdesign-l/WindowsMacFonts.html

That's a good question! I've actually included a link to that page above in the section on fonts, but there's a LOT on this page so it's easy to miss. :)

Why do I have the urge to want to include some css in this comment LOL? Excellent job of explaining many of the most popular styles, I could have done with this 10 years ago..... except we used tables in those days (remember them?)

Just one of those things. So I have a bookmark with my faves in it. This will be added, too. Thanks and good luck on the dissertation.
