You will learn how to make favorites like, Black Beans and Rice, Con Gris and Fried Pork Steaks, staples of the Cuban kitchen. Also, enjoy unexpected treasures such as Cuban Pasta (a favorite party dish), Cabbage Salad and Cuban Tamales.
You also get a unique non-tourist view of Havana and surrounding areas. Go to a beach house and make barbequed fish. Take a motorcycle side car tour of Buena Vista, a suburb of Havana, home of the famous Buena Vista Social Club.

Watch this DVD which explains all the steps so you can see exactly how to make this fish marinade as well as others.
DVD on Cuban Cooking- 1 Head Garlic Crushed with salt
- All Purpose Seasoning
- Oregano to taste
- Juice and Pulp of 8-10 Limes
- Mix all ingredients together and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Coat fish with all the marinade.

DVD on Cuban Cooking
- 1lb Cleaned Black Beans
- 1 Diced Green or Red Pepper
- 1 Chopped Onion
- Cumin
- Salt
- Soak beans for 1 hour and cook for 30 minutes (Optional-add ham hock)
- Sauté the onions, peppers, garlic and cumin in oil.
- When beans are cooked add the mixture to the beans and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve with steamed rice
