My dear! May I confess? I spent 8 months in a really tiny cubicle and couldn't take it any more! It was the noisiest experience in my adult life. But, it is good to know how to decorate the cubicle ... I would want to sound proof it. Tough to write you know when it's noisy.

Enjoyed reading about the history of cubicles. Thanks for providing so many neat ideas for decorating one's cubicle. ~~Blessed~~

I usually post a couple of calendars on the walls, cat themed or tropical beach themed.

Very interesting lens. I loved all the pictures. Thankfully, I do not work in a cubicle, but I can say right now, it would be covered in pink if I did work in one :)

I used to work in a pretty relaxed office where we were allowed a lot of freedom in terms of decorating our cubicles - not so much where I started working in November of last year. It's your basic gray office walls and cubicles and we are under a lot of rules in terms of what we can and can't have in our cubes. I'm tempted to forward this to my boss to see if he might change his mind and maybe also he link I found for an online, cubicle make-over contest called 'Pimp My Cube' - I hope he has a sense of humor.

I'm sending this link to my boss, we sure could use better cubicles at the office, enjoyed my visit on your lens this morning indeed!

I work in a cubicle with gray walls but these are covered with plaques of projects I worked on. SInce I have been in the company for a long time, there are many plaques and mementoes. There are pictures of friends and family, 2 desktops and flipper cabinets. That's about it. I do not have room for anything else. Sigh....

I'm lucky I have a window next to my desk with a large maple outside. I love the poster idea though.

Dave, you are so witty and fun! I love your ideas.....and your side comments, like people being put in a cubby hole and smaller than cells at San Quentin and Alcatraz!

My office walls used to be loaded with so much that someone tactfully said "your office is like, uh, like a mosaic." I'll lensroll this to HELP - My Desk is Buried.

Interesting topic and I do agree, we need to step out and do something to change our surroungings and to bring some color into gray business office. :) Well done Dave!

I just retired from a cube at the phone company. I enjoyed this and you are right Scott Adams worked at my company. Your intro photo is where I worked. But sadly I worked there and It wasn't even Ma Bell anymore. They just took two weeks to get my severance check to me!

Hi There, NewsBaron! I DO have an array of LCD screens in my cubicle. Except they are there to simulate just "working" rather than "working outdoors".... (I use the posters, mousepads, calendars, and other decorations to make my cubicle somewhat bearable --but I like mostly working from home, sitting on my deck overlooking my wife's flower garden and listening to the waves lapping the shore of the beach! --just kidding on the beach part!)

Nice Lens! Maybe you could use an array of lcd screens in a cubicle to simulate working outdoors!
