A Portable, Clean Fleece Travel Blanket!
Airplane travel can be pretty unpredictable these days -- including the temperature on the plane. The cabin can range from steaming hot to downright cold. It's handy to have a travel blanket -- but airlines often don't have enough, and who knows when they last cleaned the airplane blanket that they do have! That's where having your own travel blanket comes in handy -- a clean, portable, cocoon travel blanket.

Observations of an Airline Captain
When U.S. Airways Express Captain Jim Levings used to walk through an airplane cabin during a flight, it occurred to him that passengers really struggle to keep warm with the standard blankets used by airlines. Levings believes that "the blankets are too small, they're the wrong shape for the human body, and they do nothing to warm cold feet."
This lead Levings to have a vision of a cocoon fleece travel blanket that would be contoured so that it would wrap around a passenger's body and that would also have a foot pocket in which a person's feet could stay warm and cozy. Levings was so compelled to respond to this travel need that he left his job as a pilot and, with the help of his family, designed the a better kind of travel blanket. The design of this travel body blanket was so unique that a U.S. Patent was issued for the one-of-a-kind foot pocket.
There was also another motivator for Levings to create a personal travel blanket. Says Levings, "Blankets are reused on airlines no matter how sick people may have been who used them, no matter how wet, moldy, or germy the blankets were." Your own clean travel blanket can be used for all forms of travel, camping, other outdoor events, and relaxing at home even as a stadium seat.
While Levings cocoon travel blanket was an improvement over traditional travel blankets, the Snuggie goes one step beyond -- a blanket with sleeves to allow you to still use your arms when you need to, while staying warm!

Not just for Airplanes!
Your personal travel blanket can also come in handy as a travel wrap on trains, buses, and car trips -- no more fighting over the air conditioner settings! Also, it is the ideal fleece wrap for those who work in offices where the temperature is set too low. Also great for those cold stadium seats during football season. And frankly, you may want a soft travel blanket like this to use in your favorite easy chair at home!

- What a good idea! I could use one of these even in the summer. Sometimes the evenings are cool enough to have to cover up.

- Thanks for the comment, Kim! Yes, more and more airlines are not providing blankets these days. (We're lucky they are still providing toilet paper :-)
