Why Buy A Premium Cuisinart Coffeemaker?

I'm a guy who loves his coffee. My girlfriend likes to have a few cups per day as well. She doesn't drink as many cups as I do, but when she does... she likes her coffee to be piping hot and tasting great.

We never had a decent coffee maker to begin with, so we decided to look around for a good one. I didn't want to spend too much money on it. After all, coffee making machines are not exactly HDTV's and in my mind, you really shouldn't have to spend more than $100 on a coffee making machine. On the other hand, I also feel that when you are going to buy a coffee maker, it has to be a good one. So it's probably also not a good idea to spend less than $50 on it.

With this budget limit in mind, I went looking around on the web to see if I could find a nice drip coffee maker that people are enthusiastic about. I quickly found the Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central 14-Cup Coffeemaker. I had never owned an electrical appliance from this brand before, so I did my research. As it turns out, Cuisinart has quite the reputation when it comes to creating good coffee makers.

A Bit Of Cuisinart Cofeemaker History

Cuisinart's older coffee maker models are spoken of with high regard all across the web. And this Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central just so happens to be one of their more recent models. As I understand it from reading the reviews, this model is a worthy upgrade with respect to the older models. Generally, people seemed to think that the low, low price of around $87 was definitely worth it.

Being completely convinced by the raving reviews that people have put online, I took the leap and ordered the Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central coffee maker. To this very day, I am not sorry I did. Keep reading to learn more about my experience with it.

The DCC-2600's Initial Performance

My overall first impression of the DCC-2600 coffeemaker, is that it is a really good one. It brewed a large pot of coffee really quickly and the coffee was piping hot, just the way me and my girl like it. I also noticed that this cofee maker uses significantly less coffee grinds than my previous coffee makers. That's great. Saves me money!

On the first few tries, this particular unit made a few clicking noises. Since my older machine did this as well (and much louder as well), I didn't think much of it. It wasn't annoying to start with. But as I used the Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central to brew a couple of more pots throughout the week, all the clicking noises went away completely. Up until now, I did not realize that a coffee maker could be this silent.

What I really like is that there is a water level indicator on the outside of the water tank. My old machine didn't have this. I'm really glad to be able to spot how much water there is left without having to open anything up. The Cuisinart DCC-2600 coffeemaker is also very quick to produce the first cup of coffee. It's less than one minute per cup. So that's less than 15 minutes for the whole 14-cup pot.

The DCC-2600's Long Term Performance

The DCC-2600's design looks very stylish. The user interface consists of a few easy to locate, easy to turn and easy to understand knobs at the front. The digital display clearly shows what settings you are making. This Cuisinart coffeemaker also comes with a permanent golden coffee filter. You can easily take this out and use your own, run of the mill paper coffee filters if this is what you prefer.

The DCC-2600 is programmable. It has a heater place and you can set the temperature of the glass carafe that comes with this coffee maker. When you set it to medium, your pot of coffee will already be pretty hot. Set it to high if you are serious about drinking hot coffee. You can also program Cuisinart's coffee maker to produce a pot of 'regular' or 'bold' tasting coffee. This is basically a strength setting.

The DCC-2600 also feels like a very solid and well put together machine. I have the impression that this coffee maker is going to last me at least a decade, even when I use it intensively. Very crafty workmanship indeed.

The Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central Is Here To Stay!

In conclusion, I would say that the Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker is one of the most user friendly coffee makers that I have ever seen. It's silence and its friendly alert noises only add to this coffee machine's allure.

Highly recommended for anybody that wants to get bang for his/her buck when buying a coffee maker. And who doesn't, these days?
