Cuisinart Hand Held Blender with Free Shipping

The Cuisinart CSB-76TQ Smart Stick Hand Blender, Turquoise is an immersion blender, that is great for making smoothies, pureeing soups, and whipping up crepe batter. It has a one speed button that is held down to operate the unit, and a one button release on the reverse side to disconnect the shaft from the motor assembly.

The blade is sharp and requires normal safety precautions for operating and cleaning the unit. The blending shaft is dishwasher safe, making clean up a breeze.

I have an earlier model and like that there are no stains and that it is solidly built. I love the convenience of using it right in the cooking pot, a wide mouth jar, or whatever. The operation is quiet as far as blenders are concerned, a true blessing in the kitchen.

My favorite use for it so far is making smoothies.

One of my favorite smoothies so far is Blueberry Banana.

Serves: one

Ingredients

1 banana
peeled and broken into pieces
1/2 cup blueberries
Enough Kefir
liquid yogurt to cover the blueberries and banana
1 Tblsp honey
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 Tblsp of rolled oats or 1 Tblsp of ground flax seed

Instructions

Place all ingredients into mixing vessel. Add the oats or flax seed (which ever one you use) in the vessel before the final liquid. That way they won't be apt to fly out when you start the blender.

Blend with hand held blender.

Enjoy.

For larger blending jobs I actually use a KitchenAid Blender.

It is pretty solid and has a good grip on the counter.

When I have a lot of chopping, dicing, and or blending, I used the Cuisinart Prep 7

7 Cup Food Processor.

There is a lower blade for chopping, dicing, blending, and pureeing, and another bottom blade for mixing dough.

There are two upper blade choices for shredding and slicing.

Cuisinart DLC-2 Mini Prep Plus Food Processor, minces, chops and grinds

This mini food processor is versatile. The steel blade on the Cuisinart DLC-2 reverses direction. The sharper side is used for mincing and dicing. The wider duller side is used for grinding, i.e. nuts, coffee beans, and cheese. If any food becomes stuck, the reversing process also comes in handy to free it up.

Some things to note is that with too many pushes, the minced can become more like puree, and grind can become more like powdered. It seems to work best to put less food product in the processor at a time, to get more consistent and desired results.

The DLC-4CHB, four cup capacity mini processor by Cuisinart is slightly larger than the DLC-2ABC, and is used for making hummus, pesto, salsa and more. It is larger without being too large. It also has dishwasher safe parts and the reversing blade works the same as the DLC-2ABC to grind and chop.
