Cure TMJ Symptoms Naturally

 

Sadly, most people in America eat a diet that actually causes their TMJ symptoms. Even more sadly, these people are just eating "what everyone else eats". Let's take a look at the typical American diet: high in fat content, red meat served at almost every meal, and highly processed foods available literally everywhere. I can tell you without a doubt that these foods are contributing, sometimes solely, to your TMJ symptoms.

Eliminating pain in your jaw and neck can only be achieved through changing your diet and exercising your jaw and neck muscles. These two things combined will absolutely cure you of TMJ. I'm going to show you how to switch from a typical American diet to a diet that, aided with simple exercises, will help you kiss your TMJ goodbye forever.

You'll be eating foods that have the right fats (Omega-3's) and you'll stay away from starchy carbohydrates and simple sugars. This diet isn't difficult. It's most likely much simpler than the diet you're consuming right now.

Two Simple Rules 

First, I want you to remember two simple rules. The closer you stick to these two rules, the more successful you're going to be in eliminating your TMJ.

1. If you can't pronounce it, don't eat it. Pick up a box of any type of food and read the label. Try to pronounce all of the ingredients. My guess is that after about 5 or 6, you feel like you're competing in a tongue-twisting tournament. All of these "ingredients" are absolutely, 100% making you sick and contributing to your TMJ. Throw them out.

2. If a man made it, don't eat it. Some of this overlaps with the first rule, but basically if the product contains any ingredients made in a lab this food is also absolutely 100% contributing to your TMJ. Throw it out.

Non-organic fruits and vegetables also contain pesticides and herbicides that are contributing to your TMJ. Go to a farmers' market or produce stand for your fruits and vegetables. Ask the worker how the produce is grown. They will be proud to tell you they don't use harmful chemicals.

Learn the Tricks of your Grocery Store 

Second, the next time you're in the grocery store try to determine where all of the fresh, healthy food is. My guess is that you'll find all the fresh food lining the four outside walls. This is where you want to do the bulk of your shopping.

Most of the food sold in the aisles is trash and will contribute to your TMJ. Shop the perimeter.

Shop the Rainbow 

Third, when shopping, use a color coded system. When you buy fruits and vegetables, stick to these colors: white, purple, green, yellow/orange, red. Whatever fruits and vegetables you buy, stick to these colors.

Cook at Home 

Fourth, eat home cooked meals as often as possible. There is something satisfying about a home cooked meal. Anything you eat freshly cooked will have added health benefits to something you buy prepackaged or even precooked.
