Love the Grumpy Old Men! Nice lense, very informative and enlightening! B : )

Nice to donate from this grouchy lens. Grouches aren't cute.
  • LindaFoster Feb 16, 2012 @ 7:35 pm | delete
What fun a day when we are allowed to be grumpy, never heard of it before. My favourite grumpy tv character would have to be Victor Meldrew from One foot in the grave.
  • JaguarJulie Feb 16, 2012 @ 6:20 pm | delete
Hmmm ... my favorite curmudgeon, so many to pick from! I'll be PC and say Archie Bunker! Celebrating Grouch Day ... I ventured on in.
  • bjslapidary Feb 16, 2012 @ 6:09 pm | delete
Made my day. Never knew there was a curmudgeon day. Now I know.

"Curmudgeon" was exactly what I was looking for! Great lense
    Cheers

If someone is going to be grouchy, they may as well excel at it. After all, who would want to fail at being miserable?
  • happynutritionist Feb 16, 2012 @ 4:20 pm | delete
LOL...funny, oh, ahem, that's right, LOLing and grumpiness don't go together :-(
  • sherridan Feb 16, 2012 @ 3:10 pm | delete
I love the Grumpy Old Men/Women TV programmes - I can identify with all their gripes and sentiments! So comforting to know I am not alone!
  • CountrySunshine Feb 16, 2012 @ 2:44 pm | delete
I would say I was amused by this article, but then I couldn't be a curmudgeon! I really enjoyed this!
  • wildlens Feb 16, 2012 @ 2:31 pm | delete
Oh, this is so funny!! :) Love it, great job!

National Curmudgeon Day is new to me -- and I couldn't possibly have been grumpy this year, as I was on vacation at the beach! :). But I'll certainly set aside some time NEXT January 29th to be a bit 'grumpy'. That way, I won't have to make excuses for a bad mood -- it's naturally 'allowed' on a day set aside for 'curmudgeons! LOL.

This is the perfect page to use for my Grouch quest. :)
  • happynutritionist Feb 16, 2012 @ 4:24 pm | delete
Well my jealousy over your basking on a BEACH on National Curmudgeon Day has me feeling quite grumpy! You better plan better next year;-/
  • Wednesday_Elf Feb 17, 2012 @ 10:38 am | delete
    LOL!
  • MJsConsignments Feb 16, 2012 @ 2:00 pm | delete
Andy Rooney was my favorite Curmudgeon. RIP Andy.
  • MaryStuart Feb 11, 2012 @ 10:16 pm | delete
Great lens! I think my favorite curmudgeon would have to be the 1990s TV sitcom character, Murphey Brown. As for me, I can hardly wait until next year when "National Curmudgeon Day" rolls around again.
  • mamabush Feb 11, 2012 @ 6:55 pm | delete
Oh, I'm so sorry I missed this one...I could have at least celebrated my grumpy side for just one day! ;) Awesome lens!
  • Tolovaj Feb 11, 2012 @ 1:25 pm | delete
Great, just when I found a perfect day for my mood, I found i just missed it!
    Grrrr.... ;)

The older I get, the more I seem to like this holiday.
  • KimGiancaterino Feb 9, 2012 @ 3:59 pm | delete
Definitely Cleveland Amory. I have all of his books about Polar Bear. Thanks for highlighting this essential holiday for grumpy people.
  • wordstock Feb 7, 2012 @ 8:13 pm | delete
Darn, I missed it but there is always next year. Today's quest is to send a friendly greeting to a lensmaster for Send a Card to a Friend Day.. I immediately thought of you so wishes for happiness today. Don't worry, it will wear off before next January.

Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street!!!

Glad I found this one in time, only 3 days to go. LOL - this is wonderful. I never knew there was a Curmudgeon day. Blessed.
  • happynutritionist Jan 25, 2012 @ 12:28 am | delete
Thank you!! I feel my curmudgeonliness going away...hopefully it will be back in time to celebrate in a few days:-/
  • poutine Jan 21, 2012 @ 7:29 am | delete
I don't have a favorite Curmudgeon as I prefer happy people.
  • Sylvestermouse Jan 20, 2012 @ 1:36 pm | delete
This is too funny! I promise you, I am sitting here reading this and wearing my Grumpy shirt that says "Today's forecast: Grumpy morning with a partially Grumpy afternoon" :) I need to wash it so it will be clean to wear on National Curmudgeon day. lol
  • happynutritionist Jan 25, 2012 @ 12:29 am | delete
Yes, do that, and then send me a picture of you in it so I can use it as my intro picture...lol
  • ohcaroline Jan 14, 2012 @ 10:51 am | delete
I think I celebrated that day about 2 weeks too early. I had a couple of really grumpy days and even remarked to a friend that I felt really cranky that day. Does that count? I think I will pass on the 29th as having already celebrated it and don't want to repeat it. :)
  • BuckHawk Jan 14, 2012 @ 7:06 am | delete
Well, I learned something new here and am being grumpy about that. Why should I pick a favorite? I don't usually pick favorites and since I'm old and very set in my ways, I just say Bah-Humbug to that! I know exactly how I will celebrate Curmudgeon day - with a soupuss face on all day!
  • lizziebeth Jan 13, 2012 @ 11:13 pm | delete
I will pick Scrooge as my favorite curmudgeon, because I love to watch all the Scrooge movies every Christmas season. I love how he reacts to all the Ghosts who visit him. What a great story, A Christmas Carol.
  • jptanabe Jan 13, 2012 @ 6:44 pm | delete
I suppose Scrooge was quite a good Curmudgeon before he reformed. I guess I have a bit of work to do to reach true curmudgeonness. Blessed
