Current Mac Bundles & Mac Software Deals May 2012

With Mac Bundles, you can buy several Mac apps together with big discount--many times you can get hundreds of dollars of Mac software for anywhere from about $9.99 to $49.99 . There is an ever increasing number of Mac Bundles lately and I am trying to keep track of them here. My favorite bundle sites are Macheist and MacUpdate because they have the best bundles. You can vote or comment on your favorite Mac Bundle sites on this page.

Mac Deals (non bundles) are listed first on this page. There are some sites that have daily deals on Mac apps where the deals may only be up there for one day or the weekend--not very long. I'll also list other deals I come across.

If you use a PC/Windows, check out Windows Software Bundles - currently has PC SuperBundle!

Mac Software Discount Sites

These are not bundles themselves, but sites that give you discounts on Mac software, with many of them giving you a daily discount on different software. You can get some great software this way that you might not be able to get in a bundle. I have bought some discounted software from MacUpdate Promo and MacZot and was happy with it.

  • MacUpdate Promo - a deal a day on Mac Software (when there is a bundle going on it will show the bundle.) Also check out their Extended Discounts.
  • MacZot - I usually see one Mac software posted per day at around 50% off. You can also enter daily for a chance to win the software.
  • StackSocial - has deals on Mac Apps and sometimes other things like training.
  • AppSumo has new deals everyday, sometimes the deals are for Mac software. Many of the deals are web related.
  • Deals2Have - has deals on Mac software & other deals for creative professionals.

What is your favorite Mac Software Bundle site?

This isn't exactly a scientific poll but it may give you an idea of what sites have the best bundles. This poll was created awhile ago and may not have all the newer bundle sites added. I also may add new bundles that pop up, but they will be at a disadvantage to the bundle sites that have been on the list longer.

Older Deals

These are some older non-bundle deals that have been going on for awhile...

5/24 - ?: MacHeist has a new iOS app called "The Heist" (costs 1.99) with some puzzles to solve in order to unlock the vault. If you beat enough puzzles you unlock the vault and get a surprise (when the app was new, the prize was a steam code for the game Eets that's worth $10 and is available on the Mac, not sure if that has changed or will change).

4/6/11 - ?: Pay What You Want for MiniOne Racing - pay a minimum of $2 to get MiniOne Racing. If you pay over certain amounts more, you can get more stuff, such as Penguins Arena.

As a developer running small software business, i have to admit i really love the sites mentioned above. Because they are big and worthy my trust. While some small bundle sites like macbundlestop never paid me a cent after i gave them hundreds even thousands licenses. I never successfully recycled my licenses even after the deal. Those sites always lied to me with reasons like family issues, other developers' not credit things... I am tired of those lies, i am just running such a small business and it would spent me much time to write a program. Why did they do this to me? I have to place to complaint, i am always forced to keep silence because they always have a way to do so.
  • MacBundleStop May 22, 2012 @ 6:13 am | delete

Even though MacUpdate bundle has ended, they have discounted each individual app in the bundle, helping those who have many of the bundled apps, but wanted only one or two. MacUpdate states the individual app sale is good for today only...
