Watch as storms attack the Eastern seaboard of the United States
Web cams along the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
Storms are tough to watch from a web cam because they are not meant to withstand all that abuse. But choose a camera located a couple hundred miles away, and you can see high tides, storm surge, and some fantastic cloud formations.

Another option for finding web cams in Florida is VisitFlorida.com When you open their page, you'll see some thumbnails on the left. At first I thought those images were representing web cams but later I realized these are photographs that people have shared. To see the web cams, scroll towards the bottom of their page until you see the map of Florida. In the upper right hand corner of the map is a legend where you can click view local webcams. This displays icons where there are web cams along the coast.

Hurricane Dolly
His narration is funny, to me anyway. Like this bit when he's at a traffic light: "Take action. It's a hurricane for crying out loud."
Animals on the move during Hurricane Ike

Fire ants huddle together (or did they hunker down?) and float together. It's a good model for getting a bunch of barges down river too.

Power Outages in Houston Caused by Hurricane Ike
On 9/13/08, they reported that out of their 2.3 million customers, 2.1 million did NOT have power.
By 8pm on 9/17/08, that number, though still high, was reduced to 1.32 million customers without power..

They were broadcasting live during and after the storm, but it looks like they've stopped. However, they do post news videos frequently and they are very, very good.
Note:
1. Every time they say "hunker down" you have to take a sip of whatever you're drinking. I'm working on my third drink.
2. Any time they say their people are "resilient" you have to take two sips.
3. And if they say something akin to their "Texas spirit" getting them through this catastrophe, you have to chug it down.
