Are You Struggling To Make Your Blog Look Better?
It can take hours, days, or even weeks getting your blog to look just the way you want it. Constantly tweaking and adjusting images and text is suddenly taking up all of your time. A few tips on this very technical activity can make the whole process go by smoother and faster.
Blogging Motivation
This Is A Quick Change Of Subject
Yes, you get it. You know that blogging two or three times a week is the universal standard to keep your subscribers and readers happy. It's like going to SAM's and they stopped giving out those yummy free samples. Maybe that is not the best analogy but I was just thinking about going there earlier today just for that reason.
It sounds easier than it actually is for some bloggers. Two or three blogs a week does not seem like much at all. But do those blogs have high quality and value? Are they engaging your subscribers?
Those are some important questions to think about. You should also focus on your time management and your personal growth and development to help you produce awesome content for your target audience.
Time management and planning is very important. Preparing, editing, and publishing your blog takes time. So it is a great idea to give yourself the time to get it done. It can be in the moring, during your lunch break, or later in the evening. Just do it when you know you will not be interrupted. Do not multitask or allow yourself to get distracted. Focus on the blog at hand and once you are done, go have fun with your friends and family. Or you can spend some time alone studying your industry.
Being irresponsible with your free time can cost you subscribers. So, recognize that getting wasted until 5 in the morning or watching TV for 10 hours is definitely not going to give you the edge and energy to create better blogs.
Learn and absorb great knowledge that you are excited to share with the community. Study successful people and share what you learn. Listen to the technical gurus in your industry as well. Remember, you can never get too much motivation and you can never give too much advice.
It is all about energy. Allow yourself to rejuvenate and reenergize. Take reasonable breaks. Implement healthy "solitude sessions" through meditation, Yoga, or simple contemplation. Even though it is not considered a solitary action, I try to find alone time for prayer every day.
Keep your brainstorming book or PDA accessible so you can jot down your ideas, scripts, and notes for your next blog!

How Do They Do It?
Back On Track. Let's Talk Blog Design!
Have you ever browsed around YouTube or Twitter to discover a very good looking profile that simply stood out? I know I have. It provoked me to think, "Wow, there are some very talented people out there." People take pride in their virtual image the way they do their wardrobe or the cleanliness of their car. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that especially if you want to be taken more seriously. Even non-profit organizations go out their way to find a tech savvy gifted web design guru to give their blog or website that perfect look. There are some individuals that try to take a swing at it themselves. I can tell you this, if that is the route you take then be prepared to copy and save images over and over. Well, at least that is what happened to me. I'll admit that my desktop did start to look cluttered.
Another consideration, is color scheme. Some like it simple, some like it dark, and some like it loud. Color choice is very important. You want your blog's text to be easy on the eyes and the color combinations should not distract a reader from the content.
Then there is the layout. I landed on a website the other day with so many tabs, links, text, and ads. That is something you want to avoid when designing your website or blog. True, there is nothing wrong with providing a lot of valuable content but the blogger has to keep it neat, organized, and clean.
Speaking of organized, Wordpress is definitely the best option for blog hosting and design options. Blogspot is good for beginners but I will admit that they have stepped up their design game. That was expected since Google runs Blogspot.
We can't forget the custom design header. This alone can make or break your brand. You don't want it to be giant where it dominates your blog. But you want it big enough to show off the design, brand, and your own personal unique style.
It can be very time consuming to get the perfect bookmarking widgets. I personally outsourced all the technical, creative, and design duties to a very affordable and talented team. Now, I am blogging like crazy. I'm not a shy blogger anymore.
There is so much more to think about when doing it all yourself. There's the custom footer, custom opt-in box, custom ads, navigation, and the legibility.
