Custom Socks

Introduction

Custom socks are socks that you can get manufactured and personalized for various goals, whether it's for your sport team, for promotional use, for your club or for fashion purpose.

There are several formats of customized socks, the most popular being custom ankle socks, custom crew socks and custom tube socks (also called knee socks).

In terms of sports, the 3 most popular categories are custom soccer socks, custom hockey socks, custom football socks followed by cycling, softball, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball and running.

What you should know when ordering custom socks

The most important thing when looking into ordering custom made socks, is to make sure they can indeed be personalized. Not only, should be able to choose the color(s) you want, but you should also be able to add some text and your logo.

In terms of fabric, since customized socks are usually used for sports, we do not recommend cotton, as it is notorious for being blisters-friendly. We instead recommend getting technical socks, which are great at wicking the moisture away, which means they will get rid of the sweat and prevent blisters. In addition, technical socks keep your feet comfortable, whether it's hot, cold, humid and are highly resistant.

When it comes to sizes, you shouldn't worry. They are usually stretch-to-fit, fitting all sizes. However, you should be able ask for specific sizes, if you need.

As for the minimum quantity that is usually required when ordering customized socks, it varies, from 100 to 300. However keep in mind that, because of the manufacturing costs, it is often more profitable to order 300 pairs than 100 (the less socks they make for you, the higher they charge you for a pair).

The delivery time is another element to consider but the standard is usually 4 to 8 weeks.

Finally, when it comes to prices, just ask for a quote. Most custom sock manufacturers will be happy to give you a deal but you should at least consider if they charge a set-up fee or not.

Also, depending on your sense of ethics, you can also ask where the socks are manufactured ... The cheapest and lowest-quality socks are most of the time manufactured in sweat shops in poor countries, taking advantage of the local workforce, including kids. Personally, I always make sure they are made in the US ... but that's just me.

Keep all these elements in mind and you should be able to find the manufacturer that works best for you and get great custom socks!
