Custom Covers Designed For Your E-Book

Money isn't the first priority here - a top class ebook cover, that increases your sales is!

I know how much hard work goes into creating an ebook, and it deserves that final finishing touch.... a cover to do it justice, and help to boost sales.

There is nothing I enjoy more that getting an email from someone who has doubled or tripled their sales, by using a new cover....it's very satisfying.

There are a lot of cover designers on the net, but all bring a different perspective to their design.

One thing you wont say about my covers...."they look like all the rest!" They aren't cookie cutter covers (try saying that 10 times, quickly!).

Do Colors Make A Difference?

Damn right it does.

There is more to an ebook cover design than just a good design, and the right text. Colors REALLY do make a difference!
As an example, blue inspires confidence. Red can be a call to action, and excite underlying desires. Take a look at the cover here....Its about real estate. Boring?
Well, maybe (unless you have a strong interest in real estate).

The cover itself isn't boring though, its designed to give some visual impact to the sales copy. A well designed custom e-book cover will work with the sales copy, to help create a strong "BUY" impulse.

A brilliant work of art alone won't do that, but how many designers actually explain to you what influences a customer? What makes them click that buy now button?

About Colors

And how they affect emotions

Its an interesting subject, and not one that I have seen a lot of designers write about on their sales pages.
Every color will stir some underlying emotion. Visit my custom ebook covers page, to read more about how colors work, and how they can help sway a customer to BUY. See the link below.

So here is a very basic summary of colors, and how they can have an effect on the sales of your ebook.
The primary Colors
RED.
The color red is seen as a "call to action"...positive effects include excitement and sometime can stimulate hunger. I often use it as a highlight, to draw attention to a title, or byline. It's not a color that should be overused, but is very effective in moderation.
YELLOW
This is possibly the hardest color for the eye to focus on. So again, moderation is the key. One thing you should know about yellow - it actually helps with retaining information! This is something you can use to your advantage on an ebook cover!

BLUE
My favorite color. But not just me, its the worlds favorite color! It can inspire feelings of trust, its calming, and can stir a range of good emotions.
I often choose blue as a base for e-book covers, where trust of the author is an important element in making the sale.

Secondary Colors
GREEN
The usual effects of green are generally described as associated with money, and freshness. Very true, but every color has negative emotions attached to it, as well as positive ones.
And in this case, the negative emotions are guilt, and nausea. Care should be taken with green....it really needs something bright and fresh as an accent, to stir the positive, rather than the negative!
ORANGE
You get orange, by mixing red and yellow. Suprisingly, this is shown to be the LEAST favorite color of women. So perhaps not a good choice to have this color as the main one in a cookery e-book aimed at women! However, one of its positive qualities is stimulation of hunger. So maybe its a good color to use after all??
In moderation - orange for the bindings, or the title would work fine. NOT as a main background color. Just as a matter of interest, how many big time corporate brands can you think of that use orange in them?

PURPLE
Actually, the correct term for this secondary color would be violet, but lets not get pedantic, eh? This is in stark contrast to orange...it's actually a highly favored color by women. Not so much by men, however.

More To Be Added Very Shortly

this cover was designed as a warning against food additives. I tried to give an impression of danger....it certainly makes you look twice doesnt it? And thats the whole point, who wants just another "some ol' thing" type cover?

People see ebook covers on the net every day, there's millions of them. MAKE them take notice of yours....before they hit the back button on the browser!
