Customer service experience from MKFP

I have started taking the bull by the horns and will give unbiased updates on firms I have used in the past. First up. www.serpsreviews.co.uk

MKFP

I approached MKFP last year. I was originally called by a firm asking for £500 upfront. I managed to find MKFP and they took the claim on with no upfront fee. I talked to them initially and they got all the info from my pension company. After about two months they called me back and went through their findings.

The paperwork held within the insurance firm was limited to just the application form. MKFP went on to look into the SERPS plan and provided guidance on whether to opt back in or not.

They then gave me some recommendations which helped me save money from the overcharging structure of my present scheme.

This is when the claim started. The firm took the claim all the way to the Ombudsman. Unfortunately, the Ombudsman rejected the claim. MKFP actually then proceeded to argue the Ombudsman rejection. I didn't think that would be possible, but after 2 months of fighting the Ombudsman made my insurance company opt me back into Serps with full recompense. MKFP had actually said they felt the case would lose, but said they may as well fight it.

As far as customer service goes, MKFP did a good job for me. They treated me well, returned my calls promptly and everything they told me made sense. This was especially good as I know nothing about SERPS!!

The compensation was paid into my pension in full. MKFP finished the case in November and have never asked me for a fee. I even prompted them and they said they don't charge me a fee.

My next review will be on Nat West, I am in a battle at the moment, so it will need to be a this is the case, and then this is the outcome.

Nat West

Ok. I have been doing a lot of building works and largw cheques have been leaving and entering my bank account. I messed one up and for one day only A cheque for 7k left my account without the funds.

I was amazed to see Nat West increase my overdraft limit to cover it. I thought that was a piece of real good customer service.

Then 2 weeks later I received their bill for doing it - £30.00. I couldn't beleive it.

I have just written to them to see if they will refund it and will update this space to let you know.

The message is - make sure their are funds available...

I don't know whats up with BT but check out this story.

I booked up a new line rental with BT online. I received an acknowledgement and everything seemed to be in order. I waited a month and nothing..

I decided to call them. They said they had no record of my order.. This isn't just my problem, this has happened many times. Their customer Service department couldn't do anything to help me get my line any faster than normal.

Lesson - Keep on top of BT
